Way Of The Warrior-Philosopher
Hiroki's parents were both farmers, struggling to make ends meet. They worked long hours in the fields, but the crops never seemed to yield enough to provide for the family. One day, when Hiroki was just seven years old, his parents fell ill with a fever. They couldn't afford proper medical treatment, and despite Hiroki's desperate attempts to care for them, they passed away a few days later. The young boy was left alone and orphaned, with no one to turn to for help or guidance.
Despite the tragedy of his parents' deaths, Hiroki's passion for martial arts never waned. From a young age, he was entranced by the fluid movements and grace of skilled fighters, and he watched in awe as they battled it out in sects and on the streets. But without any guidance or formal training, Hiroki had to teach himself, observing the techniques of others and practicing in secret whenever he had the chance. And yet, even with all his efforts to improve, he had only managed to grasp the basics, he couldn't shake the gnawing sense of purposelessness that lingered within him, a feeling that there was something missing from his life.
Hiroki stood at the edge of the precipice, gazing out at the endless expanse of the Murim World. It was a world of chaos and violence, where only the strongest and most skilled survived. Not withstanding the harsh realities of his existence, Hiroki felt a profound sense of emptiness, a constant feeling of aimlessness that he could not shake.
Hiroki: "What is the point of it all? Why do we fight and struggle every day just to survive? Is there nothing more to life than this endless cycle of violence and death?"
Voice from behind him: "Perhaps not for some, but for others, there is more. What is it that you seek, young one?"
Hiroki turned to see an elderly warrior standing behind him, his face weathered and scarred from a lifetime of battle.
Hiroki: "I don't know. I just feel like there must be more to life than this. More to me than just fighting and killing."
Elderly warrior: "Ah, I see. You are young and still searching for your path. It is a difficult journey, but one that must be taken if you are to find your true purpose in life. Tell me, what is it that you are skilled in?"
Hiroki: "I have only grasped the basics of the Murim arts. I have much to learn still."
Elderly warrior: "Then you have taken the first step on your journey. Keep training, keep pushing yourself, and never forget what it is that you are fighting for. The path may be long and difficult, but in the end, it will be worth it."
Hiroki nodded, feeling a sense of determination rising within him. He may not know what his true purpose was yet, but he was determined to find it, no matter what.
His determination to learn martial arts was unbreakable, even in the face of adversity. He worked tirelessly to grasp the basics, training his body until he was physically exhausted, and then pushing himself even further. Every time he felt like giving up, the memory of his parents would push him to keep going.
