01 : First Love - We Meet Again

Jade POV

There he is, Alexander Thompson, standing in the middle of the party, stealing everyone eyes. My first love, my first crush. It’s not like he knew about it, since I never told him. Now, we meet again in different situation and somehow that fire lit again. It seems I never stop loving him after all this time. Its been years, since the last time we talk in high school. In our last day as senior saying goodbye to each other.

You can say that we are close. Close enough that people tease us to be a couple and a lot of girl bullied me because of envy. Then he will come and be the saviour, every single time. Its been in my mind how can he found me.

I’m never really trying to forget him. I just realize that we have different standing in life. He has his family business, one of the eligible bachelor, the billionaire. Every woman throw themself to get his attention. I know his life focus in his family business, since he always talk about it in high school with a proud. Its better if we never met again, that’s what I thought. Never ever in my dream that we met again in this situation, where he is my client.

Its unbelievable how can he got more mature and handsome after all this years. Yet, I’m still the old Jade. Someone who does her make up to the minimum, not even try to take care of her body, and the dirty looking girl work trying to life each day. Plus, college debts that I need to settle.

Xander POV

Is it her? Is it really her? Why is she here?

I can’t believe it. I meet her again, the hand that handshakes with me. How much I missed it after all this time. My eyes keep looking for her. She keeps moving from one place to another, since she’s the coordinator for this event.

I still can’t believe I see her again. I’ve been dreaming of this day. Its been my wish to meet her and make her mine. I’ve been rejected all kind of blind date and arrange married that came to me because of her. This time, I know that I want her in my life.

She’s still the same Jade, with minimal make up, beautiful long black hair. Her smile still the gentle and beautiful like the last time I saw. It always make me happy every time I think about her, have a talk with her. I tried my best to get close to her, until we said goodbye in our senior high school. I meant it for temporarily, but she vanished and I can’t contact her. Even, I’m hiring a private investigator, but they can’t find her. Where she has been all this years?

A slap in my shoulder wake me up from my thought.

“Earth to Alexander?” said Ethan

“What?” I said

“What?! you know they’ve been calling your name twice, aren’t you listening?”

Right! I forgot that this our company anniversary and the want me to have some speech. I fixed my blazer and talk to Ethan.

“...Okay.” I reply

“That’s it?! You’re not gonna refute?”

I just stare at him with a blank look

“..Okay. Go then Mr. President” He said.

I start to walk to the stage, and look to her position. Oh God! I lost her. Where did she go? I keep look at can’t find her location.

Jade POV

I saw him walking to the stage, with full of confident, but his eyes seems looking for something, not like it’s my concern. We live in different world. We can’t never be together. I’m not suitable for his, and his just over the top.

“Jade…Jade!” Someone call me and interrupt my daydreaming, which no other than Jean, my best friend slash co-worker

“Oh… Hi Jean… What is it?”

“Do you see him? He’s so dreamy.” She said

“Who??” I ask her

“That handsome man on the stage. He’s so handsome. He’s your first love, right?”

“What?! What are you talking about? No he’s not!” I denied it

“Oh.. Please… Jade. You know, you’ve been telling me about him since college. Of course I know him. Your eyes can’t stop looking at him when we met earlier.” She said.

Yes! Can you believe it?! We met earlier when the client representative introduce us to him. They said its a must, since the president director always want to know with who they are work. So, it’s a mandatory to introduce with each other.

When we shake hand I feel how his hand so big, much bigger than I remember. Somehow I don’t want to let it go, I just like the feeling. On the other side, I know that he won’t remember me. Its been so long since we met, maybe around 10 years or more.

I just want him to stay in my memories. My happy memories. That's what I thougth.
