Chapter Three

Gu Cheng Feng silently stared at the beauty sleeping in front of her, he's so frustrated. Very frustrated.

As he stared he couldn't help but remember an old memory.

'Cheng gege!' a cheerful voice called out to the young Cheng feng who's currently playing in his family's swing.

Cheng feng stand up hearing the voice of his dear friend and saw her waving at him.

"Cheng gege! Cheng gege! Come! Play with me!" The waving didn't stop until the young Jiang Jian Ning reached her destination and pulled Cheng feng off the swing.

"Jian'er, when did you come here?" Young Cheng feng asked as he was being dragged by Jian Ning somewhere only she knows.

"I came here just a few minutes ago! Are you surprised?" Jiang cheerfully answered beaming with a smile as she held Cheng Feng's hand.

*"No, It's just unexpected." Cheng Feng replied calmly as he let himself be dragged by her. *

Jiang Jian Ning's round and quite chubby cheeks were filled with air inside as she pouts making her face as round as it could be and faced Cheng Feng behind her.

"Ahh~ Cheng gege, You really don't know how to be honest!" Jian ning crossed her arms and looked up with a 'hmpt' sound and ran off by herself.

Cheng Feng who's both confused and wondering with her actions follow after her, soon after, they reached an old tree in the backyard.

It's so tall and green that you could see how the caretaker of this tree took great care after it.

"Cheng gege! Cheng gege! Look!" Cheng feng quickly took off his admiring gaze upon the tree towards Jiang Jian Ning who's currently pointing at one of the tree's branch.

"What is it?" Cheng feng asked as he walked over where Jian Ning is at.

"Look at the flower up there!" Jian Ning excitedly pointed at a wild flower that bloomed at the old tree branch

Cheng feng looked up and notice a small pot under the flower Jian Ning was pointing and knew that someone purposely put a pot of flower up there.

"Mhm, I can see it." Cheng feng replied to Jian Ning, hiding the fact that it didn't grow on the tree branch at all since it seemed that Jian Ning had no idea that it was put up there intentionally.

Cheng feng quietly watched Jian ning who's admiring the flower up there and as he did, a sudden thought came to him. Who could've put the pot in such a dangerous spot? But he quickly shoved away the thought and looked at Jian Ning who immediately rushed to him.

"Jian?" and before he knew it he heard a loud crash, and he was already laying on the ground with Jian above him.

"Cheng gege... you're... alright..." Jian ning said as she slowly closed her eyes.

"H-huh? What...?" Cheng feng who got up from laying sat beside Jian ning who's currently bleeding, horrified and scared, young Cheng feng cried his eyes out as he started screaming and shouting for help while shaking Jian Ning trying to wake her up.

"Jiang Jian Ning..." Gu Cheng Feng muttered in his sleep, Jian Ning who just woke up saw him beside her and barely heard her name being said by Gu Cheng Feng.
