Meeting him

As Annabella walked by the side of the road barefooted, she wondered how her life got to this point. Her best friend Sofia and her boyfriend James who she had been together with since high school were having an affair, Her father is not her real father but the one responsible for killing her dear mother and the only one she could trust at work, Bianca conspired with the enemy to overthrow her in her own company. Nothing was working out for her.

"....So why don't I just end it here?" was what she thought. Desperate to die, she stood on top of a railing and looked down to check how high the height was from there, down to the ocean beneath. She made a sad smile looking at the sky. "Comfort in death huh? So hilarious... but at least it would be better this way" Annabella said to herself as she slowly lifted her right foot forward.

"Are you seriously gonna jump?! " A man shouted out at her. She put back her foot on the railing and looked at him. "Are you seriously going to jump? From this height?" The young man asked again. Annabella told the man that he should just ignore her and walk away. "I'm just saying... death by drowning is a very scary way to die and besides it's night and I bet the water must be freezing cold right now, so I guess you'd freeze to death first" The man said trying to convince her. She didn't care and still wanted to jump.

"Before you foolishly drown or freeze to death, can you tell me the reason why a beautiful girl like you is prepared to die in a place like this?" The man questioned her. Annabella told him that he wouldn't understand. But the man was determined to know. After She told him the reason he bursted into laughter. She was dumbfounded about his luxury to laugh in a situation like this. The man regained his senses and looked at her with a serious face "So?, That doesn't give you the reason to kill yourself, are you stupid?, Many in this world has experienced something far worse than you, stop acting so spoiled!". The man nagged and scolded her to the point she was too ashamed to die. Tears started pouring down her cheeks and she screamed out "I don't wanna die!!!".

For a 21 year old girl she cried like a baby.

The man stretched out his hand to help her get down. He was amazed that since the whole time she has been standing on the railing. He provided her comfort in his arms and after a while she calmed down.

"Your confrontation towards a suicidal person is quite unique" She said sarcastically leaning her head on his chest. "Well I don't have time to be nice and gentle towards a stupid woman". Hearing him say that she started to pout. "Ok ok, I'm sorry," He gave her a gentle smile as he patted her on her head. Though she was happy at that moment she was still tearing up. He wiped her tears with his finger tip. Annabella felt a little fuzziness in her stomach. The feeling of his touch felt warm and gentle. She wanted this feeling to last forever until he said "Come home with me"

"Eh?!....... " She said with a blank expression.
