Tragic!

A hall filled with well known figures, having a touch of royalty and noblelity. They were yet greedy and thirsty for money. Those round coins of gold and silver, those hard rocks in variety of colours, well polished, clear, and shinny, they were their desires. A handful of madness and a blood-line of purity, it was a well defined noblelity.

These thoughts matched well with Raven's. The only daughter of Swan's. She was a well known maiden across the country. She was proud of her identity and was egoistic. But that was a long period before. In the present, she was nothing like a proud noble, instead she had a buring desire of revenge. Revenge upon those who ruined her identity. They say blood is thicker than water, but greediness is the thickest of them all.

Raven, she was used to be addressed with respect, she was engaged to the crown prince and was going to be the empress of this vast empire she lived within. But, in one night, things turned against her. Her family disowned her, her engagement was broken and she, she was reduced to the status of a commoner.

All because of a false accusation, of being engaged with intoxication. But she, was not someone to be tamed. She, from the beginning of her life had watched such tricks shape her household. All she did back then was to watch it ruin people. And now she was the victim.

After filling the champagne glasses, she proceeded to load them on the tray. All this while, she kept her head down. This was the same hall where she would make a grand entrance if it was not for her being reduced to the status of commoner. Of all the people, she expected least support from her own family, hence she needed to do something in order to earn.

In the attire of a maid, she still stood out from the rest, thought being a commoner now, nothing could beat her attractive appearance and a rotten heart. But the heart which was rotten from inside was now turning into a new leaf, all the ego she had was slowly fading away into nothing. She had nothing left to feel egoistic over. Her appearance, she never considered it something to be proud of. All that she was ever proud of was her family and her intelligence.

Unlike other nobles, Swan's were attentive towards providing women of their household the best. Hence, Raven was known to almost all kind of subjects, including fencing and music. Raven might not be interested in them but looking down upon people satisfied her ego. The reason why she became crown prince's fiance was not because of how powerful her family was or her beauty, it was simply because she won hearts of the royal family with her intelligence.

"Raven Swan! As gorgeous as ever!"

A mere sentence attracted attention towards Raven when she wanted it the least. She turns her head up and faces the crowd, in appearance of a maid. But she was not shy. She was proud to be able to earn a living despite having no support.

"What is it ?, Madam Grace!", Raven speaks with a sharp tone.
