GUILTY FOR REST OF THE LIFE...

So hello guy's! hope you are doing great. Here's I got another story to tell! you may have got some ideas after reading the title right!?

Yes it's a regretful story. Hope it will melt your heart. So without wasting our time further I will start it...

Rakesh, a 18yrs old boy and a average student of +2 first year choosen the commerce stream. He was a mediocre (who is neither bad nor good). He worked with one quote and that was “slang for slang! and punch for punch!!.” Very comfortable with his male friends and don't talk much to girl's.

Except sangeeta,same class as him commerce and his childhood best friend and a tomboy. Which was why he was very comfortable around her. They were more like two brothers. Shares every single things between them.

It was the year 2013 where everyone were busy with social media app's. Facebook was the most popularly used app in those year. Youngsters are much more interested in getting likes and comments on every post. So Rakesh and Sangeeta mostly talks in Facebook than watsapp.

It was the day when the monthly exam's results were out. Rakesh scored 69% while sangeeta scored 75%. Rakesh was satisfied with his mark and was talking to sangeeta in facebook about study.

Sangeeta:- Watsup dude! how was the result?

Rakesh:- Am satisfied with my mark Need nothing than that, you say.

Sangeeta:- Don't even ask me dude even am satisfied with my marks but you know my mom...

Rakesh:- Very well, she can shut your dad too but no one believes you whenever you says that she beats you. Poor soul😂.

Sangeeta:- Ya ya! whatever😑. Oh! you know!

Rakesh:- Know what?

Sangeeta:- Riya scored 96%!!! 😱She is the topper.

Rakesh:- Who is Riya?🙄

Sangeeta:- Shit this person 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Rakesh:- If am the shit then you move around shit┐(￣ヘ￣)┌.

Sangeeta:- Hell ya🤦🏻‍♀️. Anyways I should congratulate her she is my best friend 😚 anyway.

Rakesh:- If she is your best friend what am I?🙄

Sangeeta:- Childhood beast friend 😁.

Rakesh:- What do you mean by beast!? you hippo.

Sangeeta:- You hippo 😑am going now bye.

Rakesh:- Hippo got mad😂.

Many month passed and the final exam was approaching. One day Sangeeta called rakesh at night time.

Rakesh:- Hey hippo!

Sangeeta:- Fu** that hippo😑.

Rakesh:- Am not interested 😜.

Sangeeta:- Listen to me first it's important.

Rakesh:- What? Hippo's marriage is fixed or what?

Sangeeta:- 😑 First listen to me or else am gonna kick your @$$.

Rakesh:- 😂😂😂Okok tell.

Sangeeta:- You remember Riya right?!

Rakesh:- Oh! that topper? that one🤔?

Sangeeta:- Yaya! that's her.

Rakesh:- What's the matter then?

Sangeeta:- You should talk to her. She is a little depressed. Maybe she will feel better if she talks to you.

Rakesh was thinking if sangeeta took him for public servicer. Befor he could say something she said she will give treat.

After listening the word “treat” he replied with a big yes.

Rakesh opened facebook and searched Riya in sangeeta's following list and followed her and was seeing her every post and thinking how could this person be depressed? she looks more than happy...well she is cute too...

At morning when he checked his Facebook he saw that she had already accepted his request. So Rakesh sent her a message “ Hi ”. But no reply came so he became annoyed and didn't checked his mobile till afternoon.

Suddenly he got a notification and checked his mobile at afternoon and saw Riya had replied his message saying “Hello”. Rakesh was already annoyed coz she replied so late so he messaged...

Rakesh:- 💬If you reply so late in this modern world then why not using pigeon for message transportation 🙄?

Riya:- 💬You are funny 😂.

It was Rakesh's first time to interact with any girl so he was having butterflies in his stomach after seeing her message. He was overwhelmed in joy.

Day's after day's passed they exchanged phone numbers. Riya and Rakesh became very close friends.

It was stinging in Rakesh's heart that if they should move one step further.

So he called Riya that instant to say her his true feelings towards her.

Riya picked up the call and...

Riya:- I have something to tell you.

Rakesh:- what?* Do she feels the same?*

Riya:- I will be busy these day's so...I may not come online.

Rakesh:- Oh!... it's ok

Riya:- cough* cough* You were saying something right...

Rakesh:- Oh! are you alright 😧?...that...I will tell you after exams.

Riya:- Ya am fine😄 k then...Tc.

Rakesh:- Tc

Rakesh was determined to say out his feelings after exam. Until then he gave his best and remember every subject thoroughly. He had to keep a good personality infront of Riya so he didn't leave a single moment to study.

(Ya... love can make you do anything that you didn't before. So Rakesh also wanted to create a good image infront of Riya.)

The exam's were finished and the results were out too. This time Rakesh scored 90%. He was very happy and more than satisfied! that now he can have a good image infront of Riya.

Rakesh called Riya but she didn't picked his call. He was trying after all the exams were finished but still there was no response.

So Rakesh thought to call her next morning. with the confidence to confess his filling.

Next morning he again tryed to call but still there was not response.

So he thought to check other's post in Facebook.

Suddenly his eyes fall upon sangeeta's post. There was a photo of Riya and the description was“ Riya...you are brave. You fought with cancer till the end...I can't talk much after loosing a friend like you...miss you. R.i.p Riya.”

Rakesh was very furious after seeing that post. He called sangeeta without a second thought and shout at her saying...

Rakesh:- What the shit you are posting!? Do you have common sense?

Is it a joke to you?

Sangeeta somehow comfort him and said.

Sangeeta:- It is the truth bro...I know it's hard for you...but she died yesterday...she was suffering with liver cancer...

She wanted to live her rest of those weeks with fun and enjoyment. It was her last wish. So I introduce you to her...

Rakesh was freezed then and there. He couldn't think of anything anymore. His heart was aching hard. But suddenly sangeeta said...

Sangeeta:- I know you are not in the state to talk...but Riya had left a voice note for you. Please listen it... please...

Rakesh was broken...he had not energy to stand still it was like he was drained whole after listening this.

But still he tap on that audio that Riya sent to him through Sangeeta.

Riya's voice note:- Rakesh..... how should I tell you?...I know you may had got the news...but I believe that when this voice note will reach to you I may not be there..... You remember? you called me before exam...to say something. Am not that dumb like those fl(Female Lead) in series and movies. I know what you wanted to tell me sniff*...

But see na...haha my life played a great game with me...sniff* I had even decided my answer...but now I can't tell you coz am not from that world anymore sniff* But still I'll tell in this voice note... I love you. I love you (sniff) I love you. I know you may have scored good marks...keep that up even if am not there with you. miss you hope we will meet in next life (sniff)ya and Best of luck for your future...and goodbye...

Rakesh collapsed and can't control his tears anymore. He cried and cried non-stop cursing himself that why he didn't told her then when they were talking? why did he hesitate there.?

Maybe now rakesh will live in guilt for the rest of his live coz he wasn't able to tell what he was feeling even if that was for the last time.....

The guilty that he wasn't able to tell her his feelings, it was very suffocating for him. If he would have told her then...maybe now's the situation could have been different...he doesn't have to be guilty.

So guy's don't hesitate to express your feelings even if you get rejected you will not be in guilty for the rest of your life thinking why you didn't told then and there?.
