I honestly don’t understand why people keep calling him stupid. Put yourself in his situation for a second—imagine loving someone so deeply that they became your entire world, and then suddenly, they’re gone. You’re left alone with nothing but memories, grief, and the kind of silence that doesn’t go away. Then you die too… only to wake up in a completely different world, inside a story you once read. And there, you meet someone who looks exactly like the person you lost—the same face, the same small habits, the same gestures—but with a different name, a different personality, and a completely different life.
Do you really think it’s that easy to just accept it? To immediately convince yourself, “This must be them. We’re destined, so this has to be my lover again”? No. It doesn’t work like that. Love isn’t something you can just transfer because of a familiar face. Grief doesn’t disappear just because the universe gives you a look-alike.
