Meeting again

Louis POV

My name is Louis Galaton, crown prince of Zakaling Kingdom. I'm eighteen years old,but I've already completed high school and almost done with my university. Like almost, you know in a year or maybe some months. Anyway my father wants me to take over his company as soon as possible. And so I worked hard to get to get to this point. The thing is, I will soon be king of Zakaling, taking over from my father. But before that,I have to marry the girl that was betrothed to me by my grandfather. That girl happen to be no other than Giselle Mikal, princess of Kristin. I've hated her ever since we were kids. Even more after that incident happened years ago when we were kids. She hated and loved to bully by best friend and crush at that moment, Vanessa,who is her cousin. We've never been in good terms,and I've tried to talk it out with my family, especially Grandfather, to cancel the engagement between us and let me marry the woman I love, Vanessa. But all this...to no avail. Grandfather is persistent to get me married to Giselle. Obviously things are not going to work out great, that is what I thought until I saw her after all those years... I had arrived in her city,with my parents, King Richard and Queen Lana. We came to remind her family of the agreement that was made years ago,but first we decided to tell Giselle first.

Author Pov

Back at Golden Lake High School, Laura and Esther gossiped about the arrival of the Royalties from Zakaling Kingdom,one of the most powerful kingdoms. "I heard, that Zakaling has the most strongest armies ever. Apparently,they have never lost a battle,ever!..."Laura spoke. "Ohh,but that's nothing. It's former king, King Desmond... you know the great king,has been one of the most feared and powerful King. You know, he's 108 years old but still looks like he's in his late 50's. And his grandson, prince Louis,they say he has taken after him. He's smart,not to forget dead drop gorgeous. He has every quality his grandfather had, that's why they call him the perfect prince" Esther continued."I know that! But why do think he's showed up at our City?"Laura's asked a little curious. "Why did that prince show up in their city, was he here to ask for the Mayor's investment in his dad's company?" "How should I know?" "You should, since you want to be journalist"teased Esther." Well just because I want to become a journalist doesn't mean, I have to be omniscient or..." just then, her gaze caught Giselle. She was still reading her book, obviously she was not listening to them. Laura felt irritated, how could she pay more attention to her book more than to her friends. She grumpily got up and went to stand in front of her,but for a moment Giselle didn't notice her presence.

Giselle POV

This novel is so interesting! It's got romance,my favorite genre and a lot of useful vocab. It's all about this general who got married to this very suspicious woman. Well...that's what he thought. Although his wife was really pretty,all men would just drool over her. She just couldn't seem to melt her husband's heart. Wanna know why?... Because he's impotent... His wife, however looked very familiar to him. She looked exactly like the assassin he had encountered before,who knew that ,this woman who obviously was up to no good, would actually end up having a special place in this cold man's heart and even do wonders to his body,like making his heart beat rapidly without her even doing anything, just one glimpse of her good looking figure. There was even a time when he actually felt like doing it with her...Just the perfect inspiration. I had began reading this book ever since we came to sit under the tree. While reading, I suddenly found myself in my imagination zone. I was enjoying myself, watching everyone act their roles in the story, when suddenly there's was a cold atmosphere out of nowhere. Wow it's so chilly here, where did the fog come from? Maybe there's something wrong outside the zone. I deactivated it,then I was back. I raised my head slowly looking away from my book, and saw ...oh no...

 Laura looks really mad,no wonder the atmosphere was suddenly cold. "Umm... what's up Laura..."I smiled trying to figure out why she looked like she would erupt any sec." "Giselle? Can you tell me what's so good about that book you've read a hundred times already,that you don't want to have time to listen to what we were talking about huh? "Laura gritted her teeth with a fake smile.Man!... She looked so horrifying! I gulped,"What...what are you saying? I was totally listening to you guys..." "Oh really? Then tell us what we were talking about" Laura smiled sarcastically again." "Umm...you were talking... about... about the new iphone that's trending,no no you were probably talking about that hot model in todays magazine..."I tried to say everything they could possibly be talking about. The more I guessed the colder Laura's eyes became along with the weather.

Author Pov

Laura tried to keep her cool,but it was so clear that this girl hadn't been listening at all. And was losing it. She glanced at Esther. "Any ideas?"she asked causing the blabbering Giselle to stop and look at them in both confusion and fear. Esther shrugged,"the book" The corner of Laura's lips curved and she looked back at Giselle. Like flash himself,she suddenly snatched the thick book. Raised it in the air while waving it. Giselle hated this.

Anytime this happened,it meant she had to chase them,catch them and then get her book back. It was just a game to people but to the friends it was a cruel punishment for Giselle. She loved books, which means she would chase them all day if she had to, to get her book. So let the game begin... Giselle got up to attack,but Laura had already taken to her heels with Esther following. Giselle looked surprisingly at her two friends who were running like little rabbits from a big bad wolf. Giselle grinned and the dashed towards them. "Omg, Laura she's coming! And fast!"Esther said a little panicked. This book seemed really important to her. what would she do if she caught them. "Ah! Let's split up, we'll toss the book to each other now and then ok"Laura's winked. And Esther nodded running the other direction, Laura looked back. Giselle was almost catching up to her,she stuck her tongue out at her and then threw the book gently to Esther who was not so far away. Giselle in frustration,started chasing Esther now. But just as she was about to grab her shirt,she flung the book over to Laura,who passed in front of her swiftly." Ugh! You guys, give me back the book! " She yelled totally frustrated." Hehe... catch us first" chuckled the girls.

 Ok, that was enough. Time to use my wits. And with that ,she 'accidentally' tripped and fell. Apart from being a good author,she was a fabulous actress. "Oww! my ankle! " she screamed. Hearing her wails the two girls stopped on their tracks and turned to look at the ' damsel in distress ' "Hey... Giselle are you okay?" Esther asked.. Both she and Laura were not fully buying it. Giselle saw it and decided to engage plan B. "Yeah... I'm fine. it's no biggie" she stretched out her hands. "Help me up so we can continue". Each friend grabbed her hands each and pulled her up. But boy was she heavy. Giselle had intentionally pushed all all her weight to her behind. "Whoof!... Giselle why are you so heavy." Laura asked confused "Yeah...Did you swallow a bunch of round watermelons whole?" Esther also complained. "What are you guys talking about? Hurry and pull me up! Put your backs into it!" Giselle ordered pretending to be hurt. And they did. They put in so much force ,and their ' injured ' friend swiftly rose from her fall to stand on her feet. Her palms landed on their tummies. Gotcha! Giselle pushed them to the ground,but since they were holding her wrists she fell with them.

Laura and Esther were caught off guard as their friend pushed them,but thankfully she also suffered the betrayal and went down with them. Happy as Giselle, the book escaped from Laura's hand and laid down peacefully on the fluffy grass two steps away from the crazy three, waiting to be picked up by her master. Giselle landed on two soft bodies, unlike her friends. So she was fully conscious. She raised her head and seeing her beloved book not so far away from her grasp,she started crawling towards it. But the two girl who she almost thought were dead caught her legs." You... Don't think this is over!"Laura groaned. Oh shoot! These girls are like zombies. Desperate,she moved towards her book with the only flesh with bones and blood that was still free. From her elbows to her fists,she began moving them one after the other. Laura and Esther tried to pull her back but she was so strong. For a moment they both felt they were trying to catch a deranged woman. "Almost there! I'm almost there my beloved. Mommy is coming " Giselle desperately muttered. Finally she was there,the book was right under her chin. Yes! Suddenly a pair of really expensive shoes showed up in front of them. Giselle looked up to see who the big shot who was dressed in an also expensive suit was but the rays of the sun prevented her from doing so. The figure looked somewhat familiar to her. The person looked down at the girl who had squinted her eyes. Noticing what the error was,he tilted his head and blocked the ray's view. Finally being able to see the handsome figure, Giselle's eyes widens. She dropped her jaw in great astonishment. What?!... It's... it's... it's him! Looking at her in a shocked state, made his lips curve upward and then a chuckle escaped. He bent to take the book she was fooling around for. He brought his face closer to hers,but the hatred between them prevented him from getting any closer. Giselle's shut her mouth and gritted her teeth, scolding her brain for making her look like a fool infront of this brat. "What surprised that we're... Meeting again?"
