The fall

The state of the shield valley changed from good to bad and worsened due to the fact that they lost the protection of the Lord of fire, their forces struggled and fought many invasions from outside enemies and gradually grew weak.The shield valley which was once know as a city of defence for the weak soon became a city of ruins due to persistent war.

"Common,we can't just sit back doing nothing and watch this city fall" said Kaden to James and his subordinate who seemed to have been involved in a lond teir argument

"You're right, we can't watch the city get ruined before our eyes we have to escape before it's too late" replied Renard who was a close friend to them and a member of the famous devine archery devision of the City, at least before it lost it's name

"I didn't expect such shameless designation from you of all people, a member of the devine archery devision" said kaden

"What are you talking about? The city is in it's ruins and the shield army has fallen leaving us prone to another successive invasions which could be happening any minute from now,this is no time to act up as a hero because we're talking of our lives here"

"We swore an oath remember? We swore an oath to defend the shield valley with our lives and…"

"I don't think you get the point Kaden" said James who has been silent throughout the conversation, there's nothing we can do about it, it is the doing of the fire nation" he suddenly adjust his seat closer to them to ensure a quieter conversation "They got this all planned out for a very long time and they finally succeeded, so who we're to blame for all this is the Baron for walking right into their trap"

"I don't see why the Baron is to blame for all this, the fire Lord's demand was outrageous and there's nothing we could have done about it said Kaden"

"You're wrong, he could have been able to negotiate things out right?" said James to Renard who shook his head in agreement "There's a possibility that thing's wouldn't have turned out this way"he added

"right but we can't just let them have their way, we have to do something at least" replied kaden

"How can a bunch of inexperienced brats like we act up against those powerful northerners" said Renard,"they're godly tribe, you know what i mean..fire element he added"

"We would at least be at the demigod level to be able to conquer the fire nation considering that there's just three of us" said james

The conversation went all for some time, there was a brief silence

"Ah..I think you guys are not entirely wrong about this, since there's no helping the current situation of this city it actually not a bad idea if we're able to find our way out considering the fact that I have to find my way back to my world, but how are we supposed to do that?"

"Leave that to me" said Renard,my uncle runs business with the shiha port so if we can make it past the teranian wolves territory i would be able to cantact my uncle and save us some slot on one cargo ship"

"I guess that settles it all, we just have to get the date ready" said James

"Have any of you heard from the Baron, I haven't seen him for months now"

"Four months precisely" said kaden

"Who knows?,he must have fled to some distant village" replied Renard jokingly

"That possible" said James "That goddam brat"
