She was tucked into bed safely. She felt as if she had returned to the wonderland of her childhood, when her parents hadn't died yet. She dreamed of her fiancé, Lu Chengxin, and her old flame, Cheng Yulan, when the world had made sense to her. When they didn't fight. When they didn't quarrel. All for her.

13 years back, I was 8 years old. Chengxin was 10, Yulan was 12. We were the best of friends.

It was a time I missed. We got along surprisingly well. I even developed a small crush on Chengyu... That was, until Chengyu went abroad to be the next chairman of hus cooperation. His father was dying, and his older brother was unfit for the job of CEO. This happened when Yulan was only 15.

Because of the loneliness I experienced, I became closer and closer to Chengxin. On my 18th birthday, Chengxin gave me an engagement ring. We had been dating for 2 years.

Yulan still didn't come back. I didn't even know he was in this country! He must have known that me and Chengxin were engaged, and didn't want to drive a wedge in between us. But now, things are different.
