Chapter 3

The next morning, Danyi woke up quickly, her mind consumed by the upcoming meeting with Ms. Choi. As it was the weekend, her school was closed.

Noticing it was already 9 a.m., she proceeded to freshen up in the bathroom.

The dress she was wearing had a neckline in the shape of a V, which exposed her collarbone. The neckline was slightly low-cut and showed a hint of her cleavage. She had her hair in a ponytail. She was wearing sneakers and her appearance had a princess-like vibe.

Furthermore, she made her way down the stairs and took a seat at the dining table, then reached out to her mother to join her for breakfast. Her mother was taken aback, as it was out of character for her daughter to rise in the morning without being roused. She was somehow puzzuled. Today, however, she had awoken silently. After serving Danyi her breakfast, her mother inquired about the unusually early start to her day. Danyi explained that she had to visit a friend's place to work on school assignments.

Despite her mother's belief in her daughter's words, she was unaware that her daughter had other intentions to went outside. They bid farewell to one another and went their separate ways.

Danyi had a remarkable day today. Her future will be decided based on her actions today. Even though her appointment being today at six o'clock, she left early from home. She was nervous. Her mind was full of negative thoughts. She went to a near café and order an ice coffee. While she was drinking her coffee she got a call from unknown number. After answering her phone, she recognized the voice on the other end.

“I am Choi Soojin. Are you ready for the contract?” At first, she hesitated but then she replied. “Yeah.” “Do your parents agree on you becoming an idol? They need to discuss the amount with us for your training.” “Yes, they agree, but they are unable to have a conversation with you so you can talk with me.” She told a lie. “Is there any problem?” “No.” After conversing for another minute, they ended the call.

She consistently lied about her parents and avoided mentioning them to anyone. She always desired to live alone. Not only that, but she was happy today. Now she can reveal her previously hidden talent to everyone. However, deep down, she was feeling incredibly depressed, although she chose not to dwell on it.

After leaving the café, she headed towards a peaceful alley that was filled with tranquility. Despite its calmness, there were numerous noises emanating from within. Danyi feels a chill. She regrets coming home from here. She wants to find a shortcut from here. Not only that, but she was walking so fast that if someone was following her, her legs were moving quickly. While she was gazing at the ground, she failed to notice someone standing in front of her.
