Sole Artificial Magician

Sole Artificial Magician

PREQUEL

the dimly lit chamber, Orion Frostbane knelt, his eyes filled with triumphant disbelief. "Finally... After years of experiment, I have succeeded!" His hands danced in the air, slapping the wind in a wild celebration.

Seraphina, bound by a magical chain that robbed her of mobility, watched Orion with weary eyes. Years of torture and experimentation had left her numb, but a flicker of hope ignited. Could this be the end of her torment? A chance to escape with Livia, Aria, and Magnus and experience a life free from agony?

"I will unbind you, but promise me no foolish actions," Orion soothed. Seraphina nodded obediently, a glimmer of anticipation in her eyes.

As Orion unraveled the magical chain, a surge of energy coursed through Seraphina's body. Tremors wracked her form, and the excess power caused intense pain, as if her limbs were stretching beyond their limits. Orion, amused, observed the transformation, reveling in her agony.

After an agonizing eternity, Seraphina's convulsions subsided. "It's weird," she muttered, feeling a newfound energy coursing through her.

"Do you realize what this means, Seraphina?" Orion's excitement verged on madness as he gripped her shoulders. Seraphina, still bewildered, shrugged. "You've become a magician! Thanks to my knowledge, you've achieved the impossible!" Orion proclaimed with fanatical glee.

"But a female... couldn't become a mage," Seraphina mumbled, perplexed.

"I am Orion Frostbane! Nothing is impossible with my knowledge!" Orion shouted, a self-worshipping fervor in his eyes.

What Seraphina thought was freedom became the onset of a new hell. Orion subjected her to relentless training, forcing her to master ancient and unimaginable spells. The pain was excruciating, an unending torture that tested the limits of her endurance. Eventually, driven by desperation, she gathered the courage to escape, only to return for her friends, Livia, Aria, and Magnus.

Her hope shattered as she found their lifeless bodies, a macabre gift from Orion. "Like my gift?" he asked, a devilish grin playing on his lips.

Rage consumed Seraphina as she yelled, "What have you done to them?" Orion, reveling in her turmoil, taunted her mercilessly. "This is your fault. You left them to die—" "No! It's not true. I didn't leave them!" Seraphina covered her ears, overwhelmed by guilt. The surge of energy within her intensified, fueled by her rage, until it exploded, engulfing the entire country in flames, leaving her standing amidst the burning ruins.

The once-thriving country now lay in ruins, a haunting testament to the cataclysmic power unleashed by Seraphina's uncontrollable rage. Cities that once boasted towering spires and bustling markets were reduced to charred remnants, their once-vibrant streets now silent and desolate. The landscape, once adorned with lush forests and flowing rivers, was transformed into a scorched wasteland.

The flames that erupted from Seraphina's unleashed magic had left their mark on everything. Buildings stood as skeletal remains, blackened and twisted by the intense heat. The air carried a lingering scent of burnt wood and sorrow. The ground itself seemed scarred, cracked by the force of the magical explosion, creating a landscape marred by devastation.

The once vibrant and diverse population was now reduced to a haunting silence. The streets, once filled with the laughter of children and the hum of daily life, echoed only with the eerie stillness of a place forever changed. The remnants of lives lost in the cataclysmic event were scattered like forgotten memories amidst the ruins.

Nature, too, bore the weight of Seraphina's unleashed power. The once-green trees stood as charred sentinels, their branches reaching out like skeletal fingers against the ashen sky. Rivers, once teeming with life, now flowed sluggishly, tainted by the aftermath of magical destruction.

The country, a canvas of destruction, told a story of both the unchecked potential of magic and the devastating consequences it could wield in the hands of one consumed by rage. The scars etched upon the land served as a somber reminder of the fine line between power and its perilous repercussions.
