The intimate dance

She couldn't breathe, it felt like her lungs would explode any moment now. Her eyes were wide, animal-like. They were full of hatred, they were full with betrayal!

There they were- her perfect husband and beautiful sister with her black, short hair soaked wet and fake eyelashes fawning over a pair of green eyes. Two sweaty bodies entangled on the enormous bed.

Trying to steady herself, she accidentally pushed a flower vase off from the table. What seemed like thousand tiny crystals scattered all around the room.

"June!" the intimate dance performed in front of her stopped and Nikolay was the first to notice the audience. His face became white as snow, his body was trembling. Was it from fear of being caught or was it from shame?

She didn't dare to care anymore. As June turned away to leave, Nikolay was already on his feet, grabbing her by the wrist

"No, please, let me explain! It's not..." but he couldn't finish the sentence. Those eyes that he had loved so much since the first time he saw June standing alone in the heavy rain just outside this Hotel made him speechless. Something had changed, there was no warmth left in them. There was nothing.

"Let go..." that was all that she was able to say.

And so, he did let go of her. As it seemed, for the last time.

"Umm, I hope this will be our little secret? You won't tell about this to Nate, won't you, sis?". Really? Just how shameless could Elizabeth be?

Without saying anything, June left the room and the ones she had held close to her heart. In her mind, she locked both of them in that damned Hotel room and threw the key away...

Oh, just how much she wanted to give up the moment the doors closed behind her. Fall to the ground and cry until exhaustion. But if they came to look for her? Listen to their explanations? No way!

For the second time that day, she found herself standing all alone in the middle of the night.

It was quiet, peaceful.

With nothing but white snow everywhere. Twirling in the sky, freezing her heart numb with unbearable pain. There she was- standing barefoot in the middle of the night, all alone. With no one following her footsteps left in the snow......

At that time Nikolay retrieved his phone and wanted to call June. He had made a grave mistake, there was no point in denying that. Nikolay truly loved her with all his heart. And he loved his son. Oh, what had he done!

"I broke us and for that I am sorry. I know there is no hope for forgiveness" he began writing, as he couldn't bring himself to call her and hear the emptiness in her voice. There was so much to say, but how? Lately there was just too much of everything happening! The new promotion, June's career, exhaustion and routine. It has been almost a month since the last night that he had held her next to him, whispering silly words, kissing her neck softly, feeling her warmth, inhaling her sweet perfume...

But how could this happen? Just a moment ago Nikolay watched as June went for a quick walk, and the next moment Elizabeth was there. Nikolay felt that Elizabeth has always been too kind to him. Her sensual gaze couldn't been mistaken, and compared with June's good looks, he couldn't help it. Nikolay's mind became dazed and so he went for it. After all, June and Elizabeth were twin sisters. If Elizabeth didn't dye her hair black, the two of them couldn't be told apart.

Thinking about it, Nikolay had no other words to say, so he wrote again "I am sorry"... He knew that he had lost her...
