chapter 2 : the punishment was given

A few hours after Michael left the mansion the night fall. After a while, Anna then being summon by the head of the house in other words, her father, Earl Hanley.

Thought she felt uneasy with the sudden summon, she still feel a little happy since its have been a while since her father willing to called for her like that.

Even the reason is unknown by her, she still can't helps but try her best to dress up herself beautifully. It's of course because she is expecting her father to love her once again like how they used to be before.

There is not even a single of maids there as she walked down the stairs. As she was about to arrive, she quickly walk to the living room.

How happy her heart when her father was waiting for her arrival. He together with the other family member were all there but someone who is not even have the blood of Earl family also there.

As she saw her, the smile carved before have faded and her face become gloomy. To add for the shock, her head drop to the floor.

The very instant the image of the girl comes to her eyes, she felt like everything she had be doing before has become useless to the very end.

With the girl presence so strong, make her felt like she have lose completely. And what make Anna heart throbbing to the fullest was when her mom by the stranger, patting her head and calming her down.

" Anna!" She flinched by the furious voice calling her name. She looked for the one who called her name and her father angry face meet her eyes.

He looked like he will break his madness at anytime if she were to make any other mistake.

Anna who just arrived and for some unknown reason at that, can't seems to opened her mouth to answer her father.

" I heard you come out of your room this evening. Why did you did that?" He asked his very own daughter for a reason to walk around her own house with the cold voice of his.

" I just feel bored so I decided to come out". She answer while her body shivering from the fears she feel in her body.

The mistake they mentioned just now not even written in the rules at the house but because of something never once exist she will might being punished.

" You did know that every mistake come with a consequence right?" As the head of house, he asked his very own daughter for an answer..

When he ask the question, Anna can clearly see there is no more love to her in her father eyes. She come to a thinking that she is no longer one of the family in their eyes.

" Y-Yes master". She felt the man standing in front of her are no longer the father she used to know thus she decided to not utter the word father anymore. She also do not have much confident left to call him so.

How her heart hurt when she take a glimpse to the other of her family member, they also have the same eyes with her father. There are no love exist for her in their eyes.

She looked at Milly, now that she see how she cry to heart content, she comes to a speculation.

Milly cried because of Michael. How he ignored her as he always do to all the young girl that try to come close to him. Then they put the blame on her just because she accidently met with him once while she at the garden.

" Go outside. You'll be staying there until the butler open the door for you".

The punishment come out from his mouth at last. He not even batting his eyes when he announce the punishment given to her.

And from there she also got to see the unconcern attitude her family have toward her.

" I accept the punishment given". She answer with a heavy heart. That was the first time she be given a punishment.

She went outside despite her heavy legs. Well, she really not expect them to welcome her in a warming way but even so she still can't turn her back to them. She still loved them.

In the cold and freezing night, she stand there alone. Because of not having enough strength, her legs giving out and she fall to the cold floor.

She snooze when they wind blown toward her and morning come. The door opened by the butler make her happy for a little.

Her punishment over, then she quickly run to her bedroom. Her warm bed and warm water is waiting for her.

But before she could even reach her bedroom, her legs became weakend as the times past. When she reached it, she collapsed at the very moment.

Thought the door was opened and make enough space for them to see what happened in there, not even one person came and worried about her.

When she woke up from her faint, she still lying on the floor. Her eyes no longer can hold the tears. They drip like a raining day.

She sobbing and continue till she felt tired of it but still there no one coming to company her and ease her sorrow.

She moved to her bed and sleep through the day until the night comes. She woke up from her deep sleep but as someone who had a fever but not receiving any treatment make her body weak enough even to lift a finger.

The treatment is one thing and for her who is sick enough not eating something made her conditions miserable than the people at the street. She's starving to the point of dying.

She stared blankly at the empty space. There is nothing much for her to see that can be to cheer up. And without much expectation for them to visit her, she tried to stand on her own.

She stood with the support of the lamp table beside the bed. She then reach the leftovers bread from yesterday to full her starving stomachs. She eat them with rush like someone going to steal the breads away from her.

But even after eating two breads, she still could not fill his empty stomach. Her stomach growl wanting to be full with food but there is none left for her to eat even her stomach carving for some more.

She sat there for a few moments thinking about the unknown future of her if she were to continue living with the people that does not wanting her anymore. Her life could be miserable than this and she might die because of starvation. 

She walked to the window. She opened them as she always did whenever she feel stress or when she's thinking about something serious. The windows then she opened them. She sits in them, watching the night sky without the stars shining on it. It look dark as her world now.

" I'll walk out of this house like you wanted me too. But this is still not the right time". She said it to herself. She now determined to set her foot out the mansion. Well even thought they never once said that they wanted her leave the house, she knows that they truly want her to do at this moment.

She closed the window at they breeze make her shiver to the her bone. She went out of her room to look for something valuable but it's seem they rid everything for good. They leave nothing for her to bring out with her.

She walked back to the room and there is also nothing valuable but an empty room with the dust pile up. The room also can't provide her with something. She sighed  with the situation her in now. Never once she though that a single girl from unknown backgrounds would come and snatched everything from her.

Even it's  not the time to left yet, she pack up some dress for her to run away at anytime.
