Our Own Kind Of Story
Jan and Mar have been close friends since elementary days and that's also where Jan's secret look for his friend was formed because of his unique characteristics that aroused his feelings. Jan was afraid that Mar would find out about her feelings for him because there is a high possibility that she might avoid him and destroy the friendship they had formed. But what if Mar finds out how he feels about her? Is he ready for the outcome of that? A story tells a love between the same gender. Does it work?
Jan was very close to Mar when they were younger, they were still in elementary school when their friendship began. Jan didn't expect that the time would come when she would like her friend. Because his true personality is not hidden from himself. He knew and accepted then that he was not a straight man, who liked the opposite sex. His family accepted him and even Mar.
A strange closeness developed between the two of them. In being together almost every day, Jan also developed a look for his friend. He didn't expect that, nor did he want that because he knew the fate of it.
He tried to hide whatever feelings he had for his friend because he knew that if Mar found out about his feelings for him, it could destroy the friendship they had built for a long time. She is also not sure of the man's feelings for her.
But fate was playful because it came to a point where Jan could no longer hide his feelings.
What is the end of Jan's love for his best friend? As far as Mar knows, is this the beginning of the destruction of their friendship?
PROLOGUE
"SKINNY! SKINNY!"
I just bowed while my fellow kids told me that insult. The tripping of my fellow students is no longer mine. Since then, because of my modesty, I was bullied. I also couldn't resist because I was afraid of being called by the teachers.
"You're gay, eh! You can't fight us. Gay! Gay?" my classmates kept teasing me while I was just bending down. I am nervous and afraid of them.
Hey! What are you doing to him?"
I didn't look up at the man who spoke from nowhere.
"If you don't stop, I will report you to the teacher," the boy threatened my classmates. "What?"
I just heard the footsteps of my classmates walking away. I slowly looked up and a boy stood before me, he was taller than me and he was handsome.
"Hey, are you ok?" he asked me. He came closer to me and immediately examined me.
"Thank you," I shyly told him. I can't even look at him. It was as if his face was shining in my eyes.
"The next time they bully you, report it to the teachers so they don't do it to you again," advised the man.
"Thank you," I returned to him.
