The orchestra practice and studies - part I

I have my unit tests from Monday, the first exam being History and civics. History is fine but nothing of civics goes into my head. I have already completed studying it although I am not very sure how much I remember. I spent the whole week studying history, geography and biology, so I am going to take this weekend for the physical sciences. I was skimming through my contacts searching whom I could call. There were a few people:

- Matt

- Anne

- Ellie

- Andrew (from where did I get this idiot’s number??!?)

At first, I thought of calling Matt, but knowing that he doesn’t wake up before 1 p.m., at weekends, calling him didn’t seem like a great idea. So, I tried to call Ellie, who was having her drawing classes, so I finally called Anne. She was free. But the thing is I had not planned what I would talk about with her after Ellie didn’t pick up, I didn’t hope that Anne would either. I left it to her for starting the conversation.

Me: Hey.

Anne: Yeah, tell.

(What should I??) … I went with the truth

Me: Nothing important, I was bored and nobody picked up… except for you that is.

Anne: Oh… Well, I do have something to tell you.

(I’m saved)

Anne: I found a good play for our orchestra. This time my grandma helped me out. She said that this song was played by her village friend. They used to play it on logs and dishes. I do wonder how they did that. Oh… can I come over; I can show you my song.

Me: Ok, maybe I can show you my idea as well. You can come after 10 o’clock.

So that was fixed.

At 10 o’clock…

Anne came a reached me a minute after the time we had fixed. It was winter so she was wearing a blue woollen jacket with a pinkish-white muffler around her neck. She was carrying the xylophone in a large bag on her back. I immediately helped her with it. Not surprisingly, it was pretty much heavy. I took it to my room and kept it on my study table. She came after me, with my cat – Mia snuggling in her hands. She entered my room and sat on the chair beside my table. I told her to wait until I brought my flute.

***POV of Anne…** *

His room is way more organised than mine! And he had a cat?! I want that. I am going to ask once he comes here.

 Wait… is that a journal?

Jake’s journal…

That Debbie is a mad person, I am telling you.

*I just went by her, NORMALLY. But later before lunch, I was called to the teachers’ office along with one other classmate, James. As it turned out to be that Debbie went to the office and complained that both of us had kicked on her skirt. Well, I haven’t kicked anyone since I left martial arts and James didn’t even meet her today. This was not good at all. The mark on her skirt was not a footprint but a handprint, that too as the same size of her hand. She had framed us. I don’t know what grudge she has on us. *

Yeah, I totally agree with him. She really is a mad person. She even complained that I was talking with Ellie, to our teacher. Like, who does that in grade 8?! Even the teacher scolded me for that. It was just a free class, what was I supposed to do?

* Well the PE was as usual. I had brought my table tennis bat with me and I played a few matches with our teacher. Well, I went close and yet didn’t won. … *

… then Matt came into the class, followed by Anne and her friends. As always, we started gossiping among ourselves and the others among themselves. My glasses were malfunctioning a little bit and I was trying to adjust them but they kept falling off my nose again and again. So maybe Anne noticed that and came …

*** POV of Jack… ***

ANNE!! Please don’t mind but can you keep that down?

“Yes, Yeah, very sorry. I was just curious. I just read the Debbie part and nothing else (almost).”
