*Chapter 1*

[It was just an ordinary day for Marc, who left early for school as usual. Before heading out, his father called him and instructed him not to go to school that day. When Marc asked for the reason, his father simply stated that he needed his son's help because they had a lot of customers that day. This puzzled Marc because even when they had plenty of customers in the past, his father never asked him to skip school.]

Marc: Papa, I'm sorry, but I can't skip class today. We have an exam and I have boxing training after the exam. I'm really focused on preparing for our school's boxing tournament.

Lorenzo: Is that so, son? If that's the case, I'll have Uncle John Wick give you a ride. I've heard there's been a lot of trouble happening in our area lately.

Marc: But Papa, I'm well-known here in our neighborhood. I'm sure I'll be safe.

[Marc was puzzled by what was happening because his father had never insisted on giving him a ride to school before.]

Marc: Besides, Papa, you gave me a motorcycle as a gift. Why do I need to be escorted by Uncle Johnwick? It's embarrassing, Dad, I'm not a kid anymore. (Marc said jokingly)

[Marc's mom chimed in on the conversation.]

Precy: I don't know what's gotten into your father, dear. His behavior is different nowadays. Just earlier, he was being all sweet, telling me not to go to the market yet and that he wants to spend the whole day with me. (mom jokingly said)

Marc: That's probably how it is when getting older, Mom, hahaha!

Lorenzo: Oh, come on! I'm not getting old. I'm still strong as a bull! Haha (father's joking response)

"Alright, son, it's better to be safe. Besides, your godfather also mentioned that he wants to bond with you, so I thought it's best to have him give you a ride."

Marc: Alright, Dad, but where's Uncle? I should have left a while ago. I might be late for my class.

Lorenzo: He's on his way, son. I texted him already. I told your Uncle John Wick to drop by your Uncle Tommy's place, so they can accompany you to school together.

Marc: Come on, Dad! I'll look like a kid with two escorts! (said jokingly)

Precy: Oh, dear, just when our son has grown up, you suddenly think of having him escorted by his godfathers, hahaha. (said jokingly)

Lorenzo: There's nothing wrong with that. It's good for him to bond with his godfathers. And like I said, it's chaotic in our area now; it's better to be safe. Oh, and by the way, dear, Jackie and Bruce said they're coming over to the house. I'll let them stay in the storeroom for now; they're having some issues with their apartment, so I thought of temporarily accommodating them here.

Precy: Alright, darling.

[Later on, Marc's godfathers arrived, and he was surprised to see the sleek and impressive car that his Uncle John Wick was driving.]

Marc: Dad, maybe it's better if I always ask Uncle John Wick to give me a ride instead, hahaha. (jokingly said to his father)
