The Case

Connor woke up on the sound of roosters. He jumped out of bed and put on a shirt.

"Connor Kain na!!" John yelled from outside his room, he quiet understands Tagalog because he's been living here for 2 years and he bet that John says that it's time to eat

"I'll be out" he yelled back grabbing his phone from the bed. He opened the door and saw a John standing infront of him smiling widely

"I got great news Asher!!!" he yelled like a little girl getting a Barbie doll

"What is it Vicente" Connor mocked his friend. John pulled out his phone and opened something...

It was an email from Piper Valenzuela, the girl he hated because of her arrogance. He seen her in some Vogue magazines that tita Emily buys. He can't lie she's gorgeous but her attitude is quiet not pretty

Connor was cut off his thinking.

"Here I'll read it for you" John snapped at Connor, he nodded in response

"Mr. Asher and Mr. Lee I am inviting you to New York for a case that I need help on solving, I already mailed your tickets to go here, you two will be flying in first class" John paused and pulled out 2 tickets from his back pocket and waved it infront of Connor, then he continued on reading "your flight will be today, thank you" he finished reading the e mail

"Bro this is your dream, we need to accept it, the girl already bought tickets" John stated walking to the kitchen

"Bro you know how I hate that Piper girl" John knew that Connor hated Piper

"But dude this is your dream, we need to go and plus you know that it's my dream to see her and now work with her"

"Ughh fine" Connor groaned and ate his breakfast, they finished eating and brushed their teeth

"I'll go pack now" Connor said running to his room

He opened his room and found his suitcase, he walked in his closet and fiddled with his clothes, he grabbed a bunch of clothes and undies ofcourse. He finished showering, he wore a grey hoodie and black jeans, he checked the time on his wrist watch and ran outside his room pulling his suitcase

"Vicente were going to the airport" he yelled and knocked on John's room

"Alright I'll be there" he walked out of his room wearing a navy blue shirt and black jeans

"You're not going to call your mom" he asked his friend who is busy ordering an Uber for them

"No.....she and dad is gonna be in Korea for three months no need to worry about that" he said focusing on his phone

"I already ordered the Uber it's going to be here in a few minutes" he said pulling his suitcase to the front door. John locked the door of the house and hopped in the Uber as the driver placed their suitcases in the trunk. They drove to the airport and ran through the security, they found their plane and sat down their seats

"Bro chill out!" John exclaimed to his shaking friend "you'll do good in this job" he added, Connor didn't want his friend to tell out that he is good at this and that it makes him uncomfortable

"Don't praise me" Connor slapped his friends arm playfully

He looked at his friend smirking at his phone.

"Hey who's that" he peeked on his phone and saw pictures of the Valenzuela sisters

"Dude.....your weird" he laughed a bit at his friend

"Who wouldn't stalk them both, look at their gorgeous face" John placed his phone right in front of Connor's face and showed a pic of Faith and Piper exclaimed by others "The Valenzuela sisters"

He rolled his eyes as he know that the two are very arrogant, but he doesn't know the whole thing about their attitudes,

"C'mon Connor were working with Piper you can't just keep rolling your eyes" his friend stated looking at him with a disappointed look

"I can do that everyday" he exclaimed putting his headphones on

"Mag lalaway ka Rin pag Nakita mo siya" John mumbled under his breathe.

John looked at Connor who's peacefully sleeping and looked at the window, they're already landing, John shook his friends shoulder

"dude wake up, were landing" Connor shook his head and pulled out his headphones

They both got down the plane and now finding their placard but they still didn't find there's so they kept walking until they found the 'Mr. Asher and Mr. Lee' written on a placard held by a man in a black shirt and right beside him is the one and only Piper Valenzuela. The two boys ran to them and John is quickly star strucked by Piper's beauty

"Ayy díos mio!!!! It's Piper Valenzuela!!!" John yelled and shook her hand

"Hello" she giggled a bit and took her hand

"It's john and this is my friend Connor" John took Connor and Piper's hand and make them shake hands. Piper is surprised that connor was really handsome, his curls that shine on the rays of the sun, his beautiful hazel eyes and his rosy lips he was a god but the one that Piper realized is that he was annoyed with her and that he never smile at her like what did she do wrong

"Um guards...please take their bags" she ordered her bodyguards who appeared like magic at the back of the two men, she heard Shawn that he can do it himself, she shrugged it off and walked

"Um..Piper sorry to bother but can we get some food" John stopped walking

"Yeah sure, where would you want to go" Piper looked at him with a smile

"JOLLIBEE!!!!" He yelled like an excited toddler

"Jollibee?" Piper asked the Boy who is smiling widely

Connor nudged john's shoulder and mumbled the words

"Jollibee is not famous here" John formed on "ow" on his mouth

"I meant McDonald's" he smiling at the girl

"Oh okay"

They drove to McDonald's and found a seat, Piper is laughing at John's joke when Connor realized that her father just died and she's not even sad.

"Didn't your father just died" Connor bursted out, Piper's lips turned into a slight forced smile. John almost choked on his burger

"Yeah that's why I'm wearing black.....I'm mourning, Sherlock" she giggled

"Here it's a folder of my father's case" Piper handed a folder to connor and he grabbed it quickly. He scanned the papers and looked at Piper, he was surprised that Piper is even more beautiful in person, well she is beautiful in every way. He shook his head and cleared his throat

"I think I have a lead" he said

"This case is actually harder than it looks" she smirked challenging him

"Well do you wanna know who my lead is" he said challenging her, she laid back at the chair and raised her eyebrows

"Well you said on one interview that you and your sister equally hates your father" he said raising an eyebrow, John literally choked on his nuggets, one of Piper's bodyguard was helping him

"Yeah true.....we both really hate dad and we were quiet happy when we found out his dead" she sipped on his juice and let out a sigh "because me and Faith equally hates my dad that we were in Bora Bora the day he got murdered" she said, her voice not faltering as she kept her gaze on him.

"I did not kill my dad, Asher" she stated, smirking, He nodded as of not believing her

"I'm here to solve the case, so now do you want the money or nah?!" She ask, flaunting a stash of dollars on his face. It only annoyed Connor further.

"It's settled then" she stood up and looked to her phone that dinged

"Cole texted me, he's working with us in this case, come one were meeting up with him" she said and spun around, to be joined by her three body guards, almost appearing magically.

"How does she do that!?" John whispered to connor, but he only shrugged. They followed her to the car. They weren't sure about the model of the car, but it was a Escalade.

Two of the other bodyguards opened the door for them, and they quickly got inside. Millions of thoughts raced into connor's mind as they drove off to meet the other detective. So far, all he knew about the case is that the victim is Dante, the FBI director and father of the girl whom he accused so shamelessly. He was found dead with a bullet that went through his skull, inside his office. Not much information to conclude anything, he thought.
