Chapter 2

I tucked the earphones on my ears and played ' Shape of You by Ed Sheeran ' while watching the scenery pass in a blur phase.

I tapped my finger on my thigh as I sync on the beat of the song when...

"Jade!"

The man who's driving call out on my name.

I didn't respond to him, but I met his gaze on the rearview mirror.

He just sighed heavily then start talking nonsense.

" Jade, You know I don't want to do this? I just don't have any other choice..."

My heart clenched at his useless reason.

' He doesn't have any other choice?! '

I bet that reason have sailed on his mouth so many times, it was so convincing.

The way he said it, and the sadness on his face. It seems real — but I know better, after all I'm not the naive little Jade anymore...

' I can forgive but, I'll never forget. '

" Please believe me? I-it's for your own good! You know I love you !? You know Daddy always loved you right? "

He stopped the car and parked it on the side, then he faced me.

" Why don't you talk to me? Princess - I-I've always given what you want... Provide what you need, but - please just this once listen to me.. "

His face looks horrible.

He aged so fast, there's stubbles on his face. Wrinkles that are so evident and the bags underneath his eyes... My father have suffered so much but still, he's the one who choses his own fate.

My face softens at his appearance, I truly love him.

I was so busy with my own little world to the point that I've forgotten that my father is also growing old - that he's suffering by himself.

" Don't worry Dad, I understand."

He smiled then cupped my cheeks, and clipped the hair hanging infront of my face.

" Thank you Princess! Thank you! "

I bit the inside of my cheek to refrain the tears that's trying to come out and then breathe deep.

" But Dad? "

He kissed my forehead. " What's it sweety? "

I look up at him then -

" Wait for me in there, I'll get you back.."

Then the tears that I've been holding back for so long came like waterfalls.

" Oh! I'm so blessed! I guess I've saved a King on my past life to be given a daughter like you. "

He laughed while he's tearing up like an idiot.. Okay! we're both tearing up like we've just watched Titanic for the first time.

" I'll wait and looking up for it sweety, but be careful okay? and give me a call if something happens, I'll come right away. "

Ugh! My Dad - It breaks me to see him crying.

He then starts the engine then drove to our destination.

' Olenn Jade Brecàn '

Written above the papers they brought me.

Then a person came inside the room where I was standing.

She looked shocked to see a person...

I just stared at her until she speak first.

" So? You're my - dorm buddy, right? "

I just nodded at her.

" Great! My name is Xena! Xena Sphere, you are? " She said while jumping happily that makes her straight black hair bounce.

" Olenn Jade Brecàn, But you can call me Jade." I said then lifted my right arm to shake hands with her. But instead of shaking with it, she just pulled it and seal me with a bear hug.

" Nice meeting you Jade! "

She just let go of me when I can't breathe already.

" You know? We can be bestfriends... I like your style! " She said while I'm still coughing from the deadly hug.

" Thanks, I suppose it's not that bad to have a buddy I guess..."

" Cool! From now on we're official BFFs!" She said in a fast phase that I can hardly understand, but instead to argue I just nodded my head, besides she seems a great person.

" Come on let's get ready ! There's a meeting this afternoon, and the others said that the new Alpha is the one who's going to lead it. Also the Beta and Gamma are here."

I wonder why they use military term for their position ? Oh well, its sound cool...

We drop our lagguages on our beds then we head straight into a field.

It's not that bad in here, their field is pretty big and clean.

After a couple of minutes, three men came into view.

' I guess they're standing on a platform.. They're somewhat elevated or are they just that tall, like TALL? '

As the three men straigten their posture and face the crowd where I was in. The girls squealed in a super squeaky voice but still audible. While the guys around eyed them with respect and jealousy.

' Oh?! That's because they're pretty good looking... - Okay! They're looking almost perfect?! I presume that description is fine'

" Aren't they perfect? They look like Gods created them and take it time... Awww! I wish I have a mate like one of them. "

Mate? She wanted to be friends with those people..

You know? In my experience, being friends with gorgeous people just gives you a headache.

First, because of the fans.

Second, because some of them are being judgemental.

And Third, they are assh*le themselves.

I'm just going to be friends with them if they're nice and down to earth.

As I'm being swallowed by my own thoughts, one of the three person speak.

" Good afternoon! I'm Alpha Xavier from Black Blood Pack."

Alpha? Pack? What nonsense are they saying!? And if he said that he's the Alpha, it means he's probably the Principal of this school? But he seems to be too young for the position... Maybe the son of the schools owner perhaps?

I stared at the people around me to see if there's someone who thinks they're out of place but, it only came out to be just me, myself and I.

'Ugh! What are these people talking about? Is it just their accent? It's too confusing... Maybe I can ask Xena about it later. '

" Welcome to Black Blood University! May you enjoy you're stay in here especially the freshmen and the transferees... Study well and Goodluck! "

After that the other one turns to speak and so on...

' Oh how I wish this College life would be great and peaceful! '

The greetings is already done, also the discussion of rules and regulations as well..

All students came back to their dorms to prepare all the things they are going to do for the next years of their lives in the campus.

So Xena and I also went back to our own dormitory which I find more comfortable for the time being.

" Xena? " I ask in a soft manner.

" Jade? " She also replied with giggles.

" What does Alpha means? Are they the headmaster of the campus? And also what do they refer as pack? " I ask with full of curiosity

" Are you serious?! " She stared at me for a while but when she realized that I'm really telling her the truth that I'm just plainly curious without whatnot, she suddenly went hysterical.

" WHAAAT?! SERIOUSLY YOU DIDN'T KNOW? WHAT ARE YOU A PUP? " she said while gripping her blouse in a not so good manner.

" Errr... I don't know if you're insulting me calling me a pup, but I really don't know a thing about whatever you're talking about. Please help me understand? " I told.

Owkay! This maybe the longest line I've ever spoken for this period and it's kinda sucks... You see? - I'm a silent type but everything comes swirling in my head.

" You're quite weird but- " she sighed.

" Because you're my Bestfriend here in the campus I will tell you. " She clears her throat then we flunked deep on both beds we occupy.

" Well an Alpha is the leader of a pack..."

" Like a principal of a school? " I ask her.

" Hmm... Quite but it's more like the Alpha is the King and the pack are his people. Also the Beta is his second in command and Gamma is the Third. "

" Ahhh... So the Beta is the Vice and the Secretary is the Gamma, Am I right? " I ask her..

I don't know if I followed what she says but I think I kinda did.

" Err.. You can put it like that " Then she giggles and then sit up straight.

So I did the same then I eyed her questionably what's wrong.

" You know? I don't understand why you don't know these basic things, Does your parents didn't teach you those stuffs? "

" Well probably because I'm not from around here and nope my Dad didn't teach me those and my mom is already dead so I dunno. "

" OH MY GOSH! I'm so sorry Jade?! I didn't kno - " She said while showing her sorry face.

" Of course you don't know, we just met right? and besides it's an old story to tell so I'm over it. " I assured to her.

" Well that's a bit reckless of me errr.. but anyway, It's just weird.." She said the end of the sentence more on a mumble.

" What's weird? " I mumbled.

" No it isn't! It's not normal for us " She said casually.

" Maybe I'm not part of the 'us' you're talking about " I joked.

Are there some stereotypes in here? Cuz' it's a bummer if there is.

" I mean, you smell like one of us but you didn't know those basic stuff?" She replied as she act as if sniffing me.

I think sniffing other person is much weirder than not knowing stuff.

' I hope didn't get a creepy roommate cus' if she is one? I'm outta here! '
