“Easy there, watch where you're going.” What a drunk, I have turned out to be. I waved the guy off and turned towards my vehicle.
“Wait you're not going to drive are you?”
What a nuisance. Of course, I am. I've got my keys. I've got the door ready to open. I've got work in the morning. I've got too many things, and am ready for too many things. “Yes, I am, and I am fine to do so.”
“Okay, look, lady, you're crazy. Give me some time to get on the road, and out of the way before you venture out.”
Well, I'll be. I'm crazy? I looked at the young guy and smiled.
“Of course, you have fifteen minutes.” I lied. If I hit someone, I'll hope it'll be him. Wasting my time, and for what? All life is measly.
“I'm serious. I'm not looking to having my death certificate signed”
I smiled and opened the door to my vehicle. Giving him a second wave, and too much of my time; I said, “Are you going, or shall I? You've wasted three of your minutes already.”
“Okay, I'm heading towards my vehicle now. He kept an eye on me as he walked two cars over. I smiled. Standing in between my open car door. He looked at me all throughout his driving away from the bar. I smiled and hopped in my car. Nothing like a little music. I thought as I blasted my radio. Happy to be in my car, and ready to go home, I took off. A few shaky turns hear and there.
A few “who administered your license, as I swerved a bit, but I made it home. Safe, and still alive.
No deaths. Simply a drunk who would like a shower, and who knows what happened to the others this drunk has angered. Who cares. They were safe when I last saw them. I'm sure they are fine. Not my problem.
"Squir"
"Shh"
Nice, and hot. I stepped into the shower, having thrown everything off as I was making my way towards the bath. What a nice feeling being away from others. Not being homeless anymore. It's been a month since I've got the place. Three since, I've had my job. One since I've been living in a cheap run down hotel. I would've stayed, but it was too noisy there. Right now I'm on paid leave. Nope, nothing does get better than this.
I smiled at the thought of something better. How cruel can I be to myself? Hopping out of the shower, and grabbing a towel to wrap around me, I made my way to my bedroom. It was a step away. Being connected to the room had an advantage. I sped up the drying process, by patting myself down with the towel, and threw it somewhere. I landed on the bed with a thud.
