As we walked alongside Reddy, I couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity. How did Satyam, my old friend from gaming tournaments, become friends with such a CEO like Reddy?
"Hey, Satyam, how do you know MR. Reddy?" I asked, trying to sound casual.
Satyam smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "We met through some mutual friends. Reddy's a big fan of gaming, and we bonded over that."
I raised an eyebrow, surprised. "Really? I wouldn't have thought for a CEO like MR. Reddy as a gamer."
A bold look of Reddy's eyes captured my attention, the way he was looking into me got me struck, breaking the silence he said " Don't ever call me, Mr. or sir." coming closer to me "you can call me Reddy or Sankeerth, got it girl?"
"Ye... Yes, got it" I said in a deep fear of his bold and glamorous eyes. If there were to be a wall behind me, I would have been bumped into it by now.
"Good girl" he said charmingly.
"And well... as for the question how me and Satyam became friends"
Reddy chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "I'm full of surprises, Shruti. Don't judge me based on my wealth. You would never know the real me. well, it's difficult to find, girl."
"Well don't you know Shruti, Sankeerth is a master of shooting games. We call him 'death' by name. He is more like White444." said Satyam, as my eyes widened knowing such a fact.
I felt a flush rise to my cheeks as Reddy's eyes locked onto mine. There was something intense about his gaze, something that made me feel like he could see right through me.
As we strolled through the quiet streets, Satyam told us about his gaming exploits, and Reddy shared some stories about his company. I listened intently, feeling a sense of wonder at the complexity of Reddy's personality.
But despite the light conversation, I couldn't shake off the feeling of sadness that lingered inside me. The breakup still hurt, and I found myself overthinking every little thing.
Reddy seemed to sense my mood, and his expression softened. "Hey, Shruti, you okay? You seem a bit distracted."
I forced a smile, trying to brush off my emotions. "I'm fine, just a bit tired."
Reddy's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing. "You're not fine, Shruti. You're still hurting from the breakup, aren't you?"
I felt a lump form in my throat as Reddy's words struck a sword deep within me. How did he know?
Satyam clapped me on the back, breaking the spell. "Hey, let's get out of here. I've got a gaming session to get to."
As we parted ways, Reddy's eyes locked onto mine once more. "Take care of yourself, Shruti. You deserve better than someone who hurts you."
I felt a spark of truth in his words, while my heart skipped a beat. Was Reddy genuinely interested in me, or was he just being kind?
As I watched him walk away, I couldn't help but wonder what secrets he hid behind those soft and kind eyes.
