A new start

Here I am standing in front of my dream university. After continuous efforts I could finally reach here, so far from my hometown, but yes worth it, I'd say. Anything for my dream. My name is Risan and I am 18 yrs old. This is Carlsan school of sciences, the top science school in the world with the most no. of geniuses too who turn out to be prodigies. I gave up all the fun and all my friends for this, to gain more knowledge than I ever could have if I hadn't. And I am not even a bit sober. Nothing is more important for me than knowing everything in the world. Here I am not knowing anything about the culture, any person, only me and my dream. And I think that's quite enough. After all people learn on their way. I am just super grateful to be here and I am not gonna let my nerves get the best of me. Well, I am still standing in front of the gate getting nervous about meeting someone and not knowing what to say. But as I said I have to do it. Wish me luck Starla. Here I go.

(tiptoeing quitely and walking towards her dorm)

Well, it seems I have luck on my side today that it's quite empty here. But of course this is what I should expect, it's quite early in the morning and no one would be coming on the 1st day of university at this time. It's really great that my flight landed at 5 in the morning. Now it's 6. Took me an hour to reach here. It's a good thing that the university opens up early. If not I'd had to stand outside (it opens at 5:30). Than I think I should stop tiptoeing, or else if someone of the staff sees me they would think I am stupid. Well, here is the dorm building. Hmmm, it looks quite lavish for one. I don't mind whatsoever though.

( Risan goes inside through the door and sees a sweet looking middle aged lady sitting in the reception. She goes towards her.)

"Good morning mam, will you please tell me my dorm room no. "

" Oh, Good morning dear and of course. I was just surprised back there to see someone at this hour."

"Yeah, it's just my flight landed early and I decided to come since it opens up early. "

"That's quite alright. How long was your flight?"

" Umm, it was a 10 hours flight from *A**rsenia* to Carlsan."

" Oh mine, you do come from a faraway place, it's even in another continent. Well, you must not waste anymore time and take some rest or else how will you be refreshed for classes tomorrow. Now, what is your full name? "

" Uhh, my name is Risan Johnson. Thank you for your concern"

"Oh dear this is what everyone should do and ain't I the age of your mother. So, it's totally normal to care. And aren't you a sweetheart, who wouldn't care for you. Well off you should go, here's you key, keep it safe. "

" Uhh, yeah, umm, I don't know what to say. Thanks is all I have. May I know your name? "

" My name is samantha and you call me as you wish. You should go and rest now"

"Uhh, ok, bye"
