Tears streamed down his face, nearly floading the floor.

Grabbing him by the hair, his hand shaking with rage, Hei An whispered into his ear, 'Shhh...'"

YEAR 1998.

~HOUSE OF THE HEI~

"Little Hei is here" Mrs Zhi yang, the birth assistant, said through the door.

Mr Hei jian strongly believes in home births rather than going to hospitals.

Mr Hei Jian, the husband of Mrs. Hei Ming, Little Hei's mother, rushed to the door with tears of joy streaming down his face.

He arrived at the door only to be met with the panicked and disorganized rush of the birth attendant and her assistants.

Few minutes later, they look back at him with gloom written on their face.

Old Mrs Zhi walked up to jian, shook her head and pat his back sending trembles down his spine.

In a second..the tears of joy converted to that of sorrow.

His wife was dead.

""No...no..." he whispered, his breath escaping his lips as he struggled to accept the truth.

"Ming didn't leave me," he insisted, not accepting reality. He collapsed to the ground, crawling up to the bed with a desperate urgency.

"Cute Ming," he sobbed, his lips brushing against her cold hands and feet as he showered them with tender kisses.

They got married a year ago and really really loved each other.

The room reeked of sorrow and gloom.

He slowly stood on his feet, walked up with his hand stretched forward.

"The baby"

"Are you sure you are okay?" Mrs zhi assistant asked, seeing how his eyes showed nothing but emptiness.

"The baby"

"Give him his baby" Assistant 2 said.

The assistant carefully handed little Hei to him.

He held him for a few seconds, then began to choke him.

"Mr Xie Jian!!!" They all exclaim.

[*STRUGGLE....STRUGGLE......STRUGGLE*]

They were able to rescue little Hei from him and revived him quickly.

"Jian what is wrong with you?!" Old Mrs zhi yelled at him.

"He's a monster...he killed my Ming!" he sobbed, his voice cracking with grief.

"No, he didn't!" she countered, her voice firm but compassionate. "That child is yours, a precious reminder of the love you and Mrs. Ming shared. He should be cherished, not condemned!

....Unless you shape up, I'll take that child away from this house, and you'll never see him again!" she warned.

He broke down, falling to his knees and clinging to her legs as he sobbed desperately.

"Please...don't take him away from me!"

°••○6 years later ~ YEAR 2004○••°

A young child running around, accidentally knocked over a porcelain vase.

It broke, completely shattered on the floor.

The child froze, his legs trembling.

Mr Hei jian, his father who have been watching from the hallway, stormed toward him, boiling with hatred.

"You son of the devil!!!"

"You should have died in replace of your mom"

He rushed An with torrent of slaps and blows, but that wasn't enough.

He grabbed him by hair and dragged him into the bathroom, where the bathtub was already filled with water.
