It was already late when the two woke up after sleeping on the sofa in Atlas's office. The first one to open his eyes was Lyle, who was confused about where he was. He felt a familiar throbbing in his bottom, and then his eyes wandered to Atlas who had his eyes shut tightly.
Lyle watched Atlas as if he was a piece of art only found in the most popular museum. As if he was a statue sculpted by the Gods. He paused, noticing the marks on Atlas's body.
Lyle looked away, scared that if he continued to stare, he might fall for Atlas's charm. He slowly got up and looked at himself, seeing marks on his own body too. He was about to walk away, wanting to eat something, but Atlas reached out and held on to Lyle's hand.
"Running away again, my doll?" Atlas asked, rubbing his eyes with his other hand, obviously still sleepy.
His actions, the way he used that stupid pet name again, made Lyle feel flustered, which in turn caused him to turn pinkish. "I look nothing like a doll."
Atlas did not respond instantly, as if thinking about how clueless his omega was. Then, he finally spoke "Where are you going? We have a lot to talk about, my doll."
Speechless at how Atlas kept on shamelessly using that name, Lyle just stood there blankly before voicing out his complaint. "I'm hungry."
He heard a soft laugh, and looked at Atlas wiping the tears that welled up because of his laughter's intensity. "You're right, I should've ordered dinner already. It's my fault, I'm sorry. I'll bring you to a nice restaurant, okay? Come."
Lyle, accepting his fate, just followed him. They both walked out the room and then got in an elevator. Everyone kept staring at the both of them as if they were animals in a zoo. Confused, Lyle followed their gaze and looked at Atlas's hand, which was still holding on to him. Lyle swiftly took his hand back and covered his face, embarrassed.
The elevator stopped, and Lyle's hand was once again pulled away by Atlas who was clearly aware of the effects of his hand holding. Lyle grumbled as they walked quickly to the parking lot, with everyone staring at them with wide eyes.
They got in Atlas's car, and before Lyle could even say anything, Atlas beat him to it. "Did you see the way they stared?" Atlas asked, chuckling.
Lyle remembered the faces that everyone had as they watched the two of them walk hand in hand. They both burst out laughing like maniacs in the car before silently wiping the tears in their eyes. They smiled at each other like mischievous children, before Atlas turned the car engine on. "So you aren't uncomfortable with me anymore?," he asked, tapping on the steering wheel.
Lyle answered with a smile, "I guess not."
Those were the only words they needed to hear. Atlas started driving to a restaurant with Lyle, chuckling to himself every once in a while whenever he recalled the foolish things that they were doing earlier.
