Let me see! What's wrong with you? - the doctor was asking Latisha, but she didn't reply to him. When he was checking her he noticed the hole in her chest. In that moment he was shocked when he saw it and took a serious look. He called a nurse and he told to make the operation room ready, because they was no time for waiting. Mara and her son's didn't understood that meaning, and she stood there like a statue, froze in fear and despair. She understood that her little baby was in great danger and there was nothing she could do. That's what made her more desperate than she ever was in her life.

She fell on her knees watching the doctor and the nursing taking her daughter with the barrel to the operation room. The tears running down her cheeks, with no intentions of stopping. There was nothing more she could do to save her baby or anything that could help her. The only thing she was capable of was praying in waiting for an answer and some good news.

Few hours have past. Mara did not hold the place, because the only thought she had was her daughter. In that moment the doctor came out of the operation room. She went to the doctor to question him for the happening she was so desperate and hurt at the same time. She lost her husband but she couldn't lose her daughter to.

The operation was difficult - he said - and we managed to close her wound but.....- the doctor paused.

But what doctor? What? - said Mara with anxious voice. Please tell me! PLEASEEEE, I beg of you. I need to know. - she continued to raise her shaken voice.

The wound was too deep and near the heart but we've managed to close it...and something else....- the doctor paused again but this time his eyes were watching the floor in saddness.

Thank God. Wait you just said "but" there's a "but" right!??!! That means there's something else... something that you're not telling me right??? What is it tell me what is it??? Mara continue to raise her voice but you could understand that she was even more anxious then before. The doctor continued after raising his eyes from the ground - your daughter... during the process, your daughter fell in coma . When he pronounced those word she felt like someone ripped her heart out of her chest. She couldn't breathe she was just blocked there watching the doctor.

Then her vision start to become blurry, she thought that hurt tears were making that but no. But the doctor continued - I don't know how this or when this coma will last. Maybe days, maybe weeks or even months. We..- continue to explain himself - we must prepare ourselves for the worst. With this sentence he explains himself and took his leave. She continued to stand there as a frozen statue just for a few seconds. she couldn't believe this was happening. Her legs were giving up, she couldn't hold herself into her feet any longer. She knew in her heart she had to be strong for her son's but in that moment her strength were giving her body up. She started the feeling dizzy and all the place was running around her head just like a circle. Then she felt on the ground without noticing what was happening to her body, unconscious.
