Chapter: 2

I was walking in the garden of the

palace. It was dark but the moon and the stars were shining while I was walking

between the trees in the garden. Suddenly, a strange wind came to me from the

left side. The strange thing is that I remember there was a wall blocking this

side but it was gone, how did it disappear?

Because of my curiosity, I went to

the older garden. I never saw it in the palace before and it seemed to be

forgotten, since the chairs are full of dust and dried leaves. I walked deeper

to the garden, then I almost fell because of the book

I stepped in without

notice. I looked at that book closely and picked it up, it was strange book

with a strange cover, plus; it had no title. It was empty, with dark green and

blue shades. I opened the first page, the title of it was Joker. I started to

think what is that book all about, then I decided to take it with me and read

it since it was thrown here in this forgotten place.

After that, I went back to

the party and the book was in my hand. As usual, Luna is holding the crown

prince's arm and laughing at the view, which made me feel disgusted as I wanted

to throw up. Then I notice my brother Christian was there, looking at the

couple with sadness and anger, I went to him and whispered softly.

Priscilla: “It would be better to

forget about Luna, she will never be yours. As he will never be mine...”

Then I left without saying any other

word. My brother was looking at me from behind, shocked, from what I said. Before

it used to be hard for me to admit that fact, but now it’s not. when I held

that book, something inside of me has changed, as I don’t want to look at those

couple again. Instead, I wanted to check what’s inside the book. I had this

feeling that my life will change because of the book in my hand. I went to the

carriage and I was gazing at the book through the whole trip.

Priscilla: “Why do I feel like you

will be my friend.”

I took deep sigh and said to the

book.

Priscilla:” I think I’m starting to lose

my mind because I’m talking to a book. Maybe because I am not with the man that

I’ve truly loved, from the bottom of my heart.

Then I arrived at my estate and went

directly to my room, then Lucia came wanted to help me change my clothes, but I

was so tired, That I jumped into my bed

Lucia: “Duchess don’t jump over the

bed like that, hurry let me change your clothes”.

Priscilla:” Oh Please Lucia it was

long hard day I just want to sleep”.

Lucia:” But Duchess ..”

Priscilla: “Don’t try Lucia Please

leave the room I want to sleep..”

Lucia looked at me in a worried way.

Lucia: “Yes madam, then have a good

night”.

Then

she left and closed the door behind her. I slept deeply while the book was up

my hand. Later that night, I dreamt I was standing in a place light all around

me. In front of me was a man standing, giving me his back. I could see his

green hair flying and shinning from the light. I was wondering who is that

person but my heart was pounding as I wanted to touch him,

, when I went to him I woke up with

a strong, thunder voice. My heart was beating fast, I looked over the window I

found the sky light in color and it was raining hard with strong thunder, and I

found myself sleeping in my outfit dress, I got up and looked at the book, when

I wanted to open it Lucia knocked the door and opened saying:

Lucia: “Duchess are you awake? Good

you are awake! now please it’s bathing time since yesterday you’ve slept.”

Then she looked with funny ANGRY,

SAD expression

Lucia: “AND THAT MADE ME SAD SEEEING

MY BEAUTIFULL DUCHESS TIRED LIKE THAT, IS IT WAS BECAUSE OF THAT B*TCH LUNA “

I laughed

softly then stood from my bed saying:

Priscilla:

“Okay okay relax I’m coming with you”.

Then

I left the book in the bed and went with her. She gave me a relaxing bath and

she was talking all time. I looked at her and I loved that I have such a great

maid, Lucia is special to me.

She cares about me and loves me, although she is five

years younger than me. I admit, I can never find someone who loves me and cares

about me more than she does, not even my cold parents, brother and everyone

surrounds me … After I finished my bath, I got dressed and went down to have

breakfast with my cold-blooded family. My father sat in the middle, not caring about

anyone. He only cares about the family’s reputation. He used to hate me and

punish me a lot because of my bad reputation in the empire; and my mom is worst

than my dad, because she was forced to marry for political reasons. She belongs

to Da Seleva family, her family forced her to marry my dad for the politics noble’s

business and view.

My mom used to hit me a lot when I was little,

lastly, brother… no need to say anything about him since everyone knows how

much he loves me…

Normally, all the family members meet in

breakfast and dinner time. It's when the time where you can actually consider

us a real family.

No one speaks or talk during breakfast or dinner, it’s just

like a duty to do and then leave.

After I finished my breakfast I went quietly

to my room as usual but this time, when I went to my room something new was

there as it was someone waiting for me in my table. The small table which is

next to the small sofa of my bedroom.  When I looked at the table,

I found the book I took yesterday from the

garden since the bed is clean.

I’m sure Lucia moved it here. However; since

it's a rainy day and I can’t go to the garden; I sat in the sofa, took the book

and when I opened the first page a strange wind blew into my face I looked

around the window it was closed. Nevertheless,

I did not pay so much attention

and then I started to read the title it was "JOKER”. I opened the second

page and it was the introduction.
