“Are you blind, woman?”

“Of course not!”

“Then why did you crash into me like that, huh?”

“I didn’t see you. I’m sorry.” I forced the words out, even though his attitude irritated me. It was technically my fault, so I decided to apologize first.

“Kneel down,” he said coldly. “I need to see your sincerity.”

“What did you just say?!” I snapped, my anger bursting out. “I have never knelt down to someone as ridiculous as you! You jerk!”

Really? He wanted me to kneel just to prove my apology was sincere?

“Oh?” He smirked. “A new student.”

I glanced at my watch.

7:30 a.m.

If this guy hadn’t stopped me, I would already be in the classroom by now. Without saying another word, I turned around and hurried toward my destination, leaving the man behind.

My heart pounded anxiously.

“My name is Xi Xiao,” I said quietly. “I’m nineteen years old.”

I walked toward the empty seat and sat down, silently observing the environment around me.

Studying at Gem University isn’t easy. The academic standards here are extremely high.
