Chapter-3

THE DEVIL

I saw my little angel today. She was looking exhausted and paler but beautiful anyway, her pitch black hair was tied into a loose ponytail and a few strand of hair were falling on her face, as much as I wanted to tuck them behind her ears, I couldn't do that, I have to be a little more patient, her lips were plump as always and her eyes were just the colour of her hair but today they looked tired and I was basically the reason for it and I knew that.

After I threatened her that I would kill That Jacob, if she talked to him, she fainted,and luckily I was nearby and I could carry her safely to her dorm and I really wanted to stay there until she woke up and take care of her but again I couldn't do that,because she'd freak on after seeing me. I wanted to make sure she was alright so I just waited outside her dorm building until she woke up and then luckily I saw her heading toward a cafe nearby and then I remembered that Beatrice, my little sister, was asking me to bring cupcakes for her so I took the opportunity and bought them from the cafe where my little angel went. And paid for what she ordered.

I know it wasn't right for me to threaten her like that because my baby is still a little girl but the thought of her going on a date with someone else made my blood boil and at that moment I wasn't thinking straight.

I've been awake for 1 hour now , everytime I close my eyes to get some sleep her smiling face comes up and the conversation which we had, It was the first time I talked to my little angel in person, and surprisingly she was admiring me,' maybe she's fallen in love with me,just Like I did '. I thought to myself and a smile involuntarily crept up on my face, I couldn't sleep so I thought that it'd be best if I saw my baby sleeping, maybe it'll help me sleep too.

Thinking this I got up from my bed and took my laptop and opened it and again sat on my bed, I quickly logged in to the site where I could see her dorm room from the camera which is placed in one of the bookshelves in her room after adjusting my eyes to the darkness in her room, I saw my little angel sleeping peacefully in her bed , tucked in a blanket . She looked so cute while sleeping, I really wanted to hug her to sleep and watch her sleep in my arms but for doing all this I still needed to wait a year or two, because my baby was just nineteen. I saw her shift a little in her bed and continue sleeping peacefully. I kept watching her and didn't notice when I myself got into deep slumber.

I lazily opened my eyes and my eyes quickly fell on the screen of my laptop and the girl I love, My little angel gets up at around 7 am and right now it is 6 am which means she's not gonna get up in an hour, so I just kept my laptop open and was about to get in the washroom when I heard her groan a little , so I quickly focused on her through my laptop and saw that one of her hands were on her forehead. My baby was having a headache. I wanted to go there and comfort her but I controlled myself, I watched her as she made her way to her cupboard and took out something and having a closer look I understood that it was medicine, her steps were slow and I could tell by just looking at her that taking each step was hurting her, she faltered a little but successfully made her way towards her bed, 'where the hell is her roommate? ' I murmured to myself. Then she quietly had her medicine drank some water and got back to sleep. I wanted to keep an eye on her for the whole day but unfortunately I had back to back meetings today, so I just texted my assistant and told him to send one of my men to look after Caroline for the day. I knew that they would not be as careful as me but they were trained so they were close .
