Chapter 1

I know I've made some bad decisions in my life, but I don't deserve to become homeless.

I was struck there, shivering and breathing heavily under the blue midnight sky, the cold wind gushing through my body. I desperately clung to my blanket, which didn't keep me very warm.

My lip quivered as I looked around, seeing passersbyers walking by. I didn't bother to ask for some spare change, I was the one who ended up in this situation, my fault.

I stare up at the sky, the rain starting to pour. I groan, hearing the thunder. Then, an umbrella stood over my head, I looked up, surprised to see a beautiful young woman. She smiled softly at me.

“Do you need someplace to stay, love?” She asked, her smile disappearing as her face contorted into coldness.

“It's… Okay, I don't need it,” I say softly. She raised an eyebrow.

“So do you want it or not?” She grumbled, her grip on the umbrella tightening, I could see her veins.

“Yeah….” I say, “But you don't have to,” I add in nervously.

“Love. I want to give you a home,” she stated, her fierce eyes boring right into mine. Dead serious.

“Are you… sure?” I ask hesitantly. Her gaze softens slightly.

“Yes, I’m very sure.” She clarified. She looked at me with a burning gaze again as she waited for me to do something. I blink in confusion as she smacks her lips together, making a ‘tch’ sound. “Well come on now, get up!” She flipped her auburn hair, it was similar to the cold wind, how it gushed around.

“O-okay,” I murmured, getting up reluctantly. She walks to her car, expecting me to follow, and I do as her regard looks. I walked over to her car, and she pushed me into the automobile. I yelp, getting pushed onto the backseat. I looked around, seeing the fancy interior of the car. She moved my legs, sitting down next to me as I lay in the backseat. She grabbed my legs and tilted them up, making them rest on her lap. I blush hard. “A-are you not uncomfortable?”

She scoffed. “Why would I? I’m the one who made your legs on my lap,”

“Right… but it's just a bit weird… since we’re both women…” I gulp, hoping to not cause tension.

“I get what you're saying.” She said softly, chuckling softly. “But, I have no intentions of doing… whatever you're thinking of,” she grinned before the smile evaporated.

Why did she always do that? She’s just one heck of a mystery, I guess. “Okay…” I pause before blushing, realizing. “I-I swear, I never thought of those thoughts with you…”

“Oh, I’m sure you didn’t, love.” She sarcastically muttered, caressing my legs.

“I-I really didn’t!” I blurted out, my face as red as a tomato.

“Keep telling yourself that, okay, love?” She whispered. The way her raspy voice said: ‘love’, made my heart flutter. Why is she taking care of me?
