"Sister, I'm late." he said while holding her in his arms, clearly concerned despite his earlier irritation.

Sure he is my love interest and Miaomiao's lover and future husband in the novel and he is annoyingly handsome with I would rather die than admit it out loud but he cant really be this annoying and rude toward the others, right? Mu Sheng doesn't love Lin Yu. In the novel, he just married her for revenge. After the marriage, Mu Sheng humiliates and torments Lin Yu while Lin Ye watches from the sidelines and doesn't even try to stand up to her twin sister in spite of her love for Mu Sheng thinking she deserves all those sufferings. After the marriage, Mu Sheng uses all means necessary and even places a love curse on Lin Yu so that she cant speak of it to outsiders. Lin Yu will be soon tortured to the point she wished she were dead, falling into self-inflicted suffering she deserves. I cant help but hate this jerk even more. Ok, Lin Yu really deserved that but you didn't have to go that far just to torture her. And I was suddenly slapped back to reality when that Mu Sheng jerk spoke.

"Sister, lets go back inside" he said in a gentle tone which I think I'm hallucinating. It surely cant be the same guy from moments ago, right? But no, he is literally the same freaking guy. I wonder if he can ever be this gentle to anyone except his sister.

Then when he was taking Mu Yao back to her chambers, he abruptly looked at Miaomiao from his shoulder and Miaomiao just awkwardly smiled then Mu Sheng finally got his attention back to his dear sister and I looked at Miaomiao for a second before looking at Liu Fuyi who was striding toward us.

"Miss Lins, how did you find the way out so quickly?" he asked, looking between me and Miaomiao.

Its obviously because we know the plots, genius. I have Miaomiao an unimpressed look from Liu Fuyi's question before turning back to him and speaking before Miaomiao mess this up.

"uh..actually, I just dragged Lin Yu out and how I knew the way out, I just followed my gut and fortunately enough, my gut is always right." I gave him a quick cheeky mouth-closed smile.

"Miss Lin Yu, you're far more braver that I imagined." he said to Miaomiao with a sincere tone. I looked at Miaomiao at his words.

Miaomiao awkwardly chuckled and smiled. I was sure she didn't know how to reply properly.

"You're flattering me." she said with a sheepish smile.

"If you hadn't reminded me that Yao was in danger today, I wouldn't have arrived on time." he said looking seriously serious.

That made me arch an eyebrow at Miaomiao, I don't recall her reminding Liu Fuyi about Mu Yao being in danger but meh, maybe my memory is just that bad or she said it when I wasn't paying much attention.

"No need to be polite. Its nothing. Its what I should do." she said with a genuine little smile as she looked at Liu Fuyi without paying attention to me.

Don't tell me this girl is starting to fall in love with this infuriatingly sincere male lead. I looked around a bit when I noticed this Mu Sheng jerk stand behind us, looking at Miaomiao before noticing me looking at him and raising an eyebrow. He was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed against his chest and he raised an eyebrow when he looked at me. His gaze was so sharp and intense as I literally glared at him back. It was only a few seconds before Miaomiao also turned and notice him standing there, having a glaring contest with me. Miaomiao flinched when she noticed him and that made him turn to her, Miaomiao awkwardly smiled while looking at him. I hate to admit but he low-key looks fine like this but I would be damned if I ever admitted it out loud. This infuriatingly handsome and rude jerk...
