Episode 5

"This child is the only one I have in this world, Riri. He is the one who makes me strong to face the hardships of life. If something happens to him or his father separates me from my baby, I don't think I can go on living." Thalia said with tears in her eyes, making Riri unable to bear to see her.

"Don't say that, Thalia!!" Riri hugged Thalia.

"Do what you think is best, I will still support your decision, Thalia!!" Now Riri handed over all decisions to Thalia. Whatever Thalia's decision may be in the end, she will still support her. Especially after she found out that Thalia was only an adopted child of her father and mother.

The next day, Thalia and Riri left Thalia's boarding house for the company.

Just arriving at her desk, a colleague told her that she was asked to go to the boss's room.

"Good morning, Sir."

"Morning, Miss Thalia." Her boss invited Thalia to sit down. From the look on the middle-aged man's face, he seemed to want to convey something important.

"Is there something important you want to tell me, Sir??"

"Like this, Miss Thalia... for the report you worked on yesterday, Mr. Rasya asked you to check it again!!"

"But Sir, I have done it carefully, and I'm sure there is nothing wrong." Not wanting to defend herself, but Thalia was very sure that the report she made was in accordance with the existing budget for this month.

"I believe in your performance, but again this is an order from the leader, whether you like it or not you have to face Mr. Rasya's room right now, Miss Thalia!!" Just like Thalia, actually the man was also sure of the performance of his subordinates. But as Rasya's subordinate, he couldn't do much to defend Thalia as his line.

"Okay, Sir."

After that, Thalia excused herself, wanting to face the leader's room.

"Good morning, Sir."

A very familiar voice in his ears was able to divert Rasya's attention from the files in front of him.

"Come in!!!"

Thalia then closed the door of Rasya's room again and continued her steps and stopped right in front of the man's desk.

"Is there something wrong with the report I made yesterday, Sir??" Not wanting to beat around the bush, Thalia went straight to the core of the problem.

"There is nothing wrong." Rasya's answer was really confusing for Thalia. If there were no errors in the report she made, then why did Rasya call her to face his room.

"If there is nothing wrong then why did you call me, Sir??" Not wanting to linger in the room that made her unable to breathe easily, Thalia immediately asked the reason Rasya asked her to face him.

"How long have you been assigned to make the company's financial reports??" Instead of answering, Rasya asked back with a difficult expression to interpret.

"It's been almost seven months, Sir."

"Alright, in that case I want you to check it again!!. Starting from the report seven months ago."

"Huh????"

"What's wrong??? Do you mind????"

"Of course not, Sir. Alright I will check it again."

Actually Rasya's order was very excessive according to Thalia, but as an ordinary employee she could only agree to Rasya's order without much protest.

"Where are you going??" Rasya snapped when Thalia was about to leave.

"Want to go back to my desk, Sir." Thalia answered as is.

"No need, I want you to do it here!!. I also want to make sure that you have done it correctly."

"Okay, Sir." For some reason Thalia felt that Rasya's actions this time were deliberately intimidating her. It could be that the main goal of the man was to make her feel uncomfortable working and in the end decide to resign, so Thalia thought.

After excusing herself for a moment to take her laptop, Thalia has now returned to the leader's room.

Rasya who seemed busy with his laptop, occasionally glanced at Thalia. More precisely, Rasya deliberately busied himself in front of his laptop screen.

Rasya had no idea what was on her own mind that her feet felt so light, carrying her toward the couch where Thalia was currently engrossed in her work. Rasya settled her weight onto the empty spot on the sofa next to Thalia. "How many months along are you???" Rasya's question snapped Thalia into awareness of her presence. Indeed, Thalia had been so absorbed in her work that she hadn't even noticed Rasya was now sitting right beside her.

Thalia looked dumbfounded, it seemed that she was not ready for the question that had just come out of Rasya's mouth.

"How many months is your pregnancy???." Not getting an answer, Rasya then repeated his question.

"Seven months." Thalia who didn't want Rasya to do bad things to her baby after knowing the truth, was forced to lie.

"Seven months." Rasya repeated. A moment later a smirk appeared at the corner of the man's lips.

What are you thinking Rasya??? Do you think a woman like her will be able to restrain herself from the temptations of other men out there???. Rasya.

For some reason, hearing Thalia's answer, Rasya's little heart felt a disappointment that could not be expressed in words until the man chose to return to his desk. "Go back to your desk!!!" Rasya ordered.

"But_."

"No need to finish it!!" Rasya replied while looking at his laptop screen.

"Okay Sir." Without many more questions, Thalia immediately excused herself from Rasya's room.

After Thalia left the room, Rasya unconsciously clenched the pen in his hand so tightly that it snapped in two. Whatever thoughts were swirling in his mind, one thing was clear—he was deeply wounded by what he had just heard. Thalia had indirectly confessed that her pregnancy was seven months along, yet they had been separated for almost nine months. To Rasya, this could only mean one thing: the child she carried was not his.

"What are you doing lingering in Mr. Rasya's room, you must want to seduce Mr. Rasya, right???" The cynical question was thrown by one of the employees who was known to dislike Thalia.

Thalia chose to continue her steps towards her desk, not wanting to entertain the cynical question from the woman. Although in reality her heart was so hurt to hear it.

Not liking being ignored by Thalia, the woman then followed Thalia to her desk. "You ba_stard woman...do you think Mr. Rasya will be tempted by a woman who is pregnant with an illegitimate child like you, huh..."

If Riri hadn't arrived just in time, maybe Thalia's body would have fallen to the floor by now because she was pushed by the woman.

"Are you crazy, huh???" Riri rebuked the woman named Sarah fiercely. "One more time you call the baby in Thalia's womb an illegitimate child, I'll tear your mouth." Riri continued with a thunderous voice because she was so annoyed with Sarah.

"If it's not an illegitimate child, then what title is more appropriate for a child who is present without a father, huh???" Sarah replied not wanting to lose.

Not accepting all of Sarah's insults to her friend, Riri then slapped her hard until it created a reddish mark on the woman's cheek.

"What's going on here??"

Realizing the arrival of Rasya's personal assistant, Sarah acted as if she was the victim there.

"How can you still ask Sir, while you see with your own eyes that Miss Riri has been rude to me." Sarah launched her action using her crocodile tears.
