Mrs.Swan
Anastasia Morwenna, a renowned ballerina known to the public as the White Swan, captivates audiences with her graceful and enchanting movements. At the peak of her career, she is adored by many and idolized as the epitome of beauty and talent. However, a cruel rumor begins to spread—one that changes her life forever. Whispers claim that Anastasia has a secret relationship with a mysterious mafia boss, Alaric Ravenswood. Even worse, her success is said to be nothing more than the result of Alaric’s influence, allegedly threatening agencies to secure her position at the top.
The rumor doesn’t just tarnish Anastasia’s reputation in the ballet world—it also draws the ire of Alaric himself. Known as a ruthless mafia boss, Alaric refuses to let his name be sullied by baseless gossip, especially involving a woman he has never even met. Yet, the story intrigues him, and he finds himself curious about the White Swan whose life is now spiraling into ruin.
Days pass, and Anastasia begins to lose everything. Contracts are canceled, sponsors withdraw, and the doors of grand stages that once welcomed her now remain shut. Even her closest friends abandon her. Finally, on Saturday, October 14, she is invited to an interview to address the rumors. Sitting before a sea of cameras and bombarded with accusatory questions, Anastasia remains silent. The flashing lights and harsh voices overwhelm her senses. Her vision blurs, the sound around her fades, and her balance falters.
Just before she collapses, a pair of strong hands catch her. In her semi-conscious state, Anastasia catches a glimpse of a man with cold, piercing golden eyes and dark hair. Without a word, he carries her away from the shocked crowd, his men quickly dispersing the journalists.
Anastasia finds herself in the comfort of a luxurious car, far from prying eyes. As she regains full awareness, she notices the stranger sitting beside her. His presence is commanding, his gaze both intimidating and magnetic. The man introduces himself as Alaric Ravenswood—the very name at the center of the rumors that destroyed her life. But his expression suggests he has more in mind than what meets the eye.
In a deep, commanding voice, Alaric says, "If you want to survive this world, we need to talk."
In that moment, Anastasia realizes her fate is now entwined with this man—the mafia boss who once existed only in whispers but now sits unmistakably before her.
Anastasia steels herself, trying to remain calm despite the weight of Alaric’s presence. The man exudes an aura of danger and power, yet there is something oddly captivating about the way his golden eyes challenge her.
Alaric lets out a short sigh, observing her every subtle movement. "I don’t know what brought our names together in this rumor," he begins, his voice firm and precise, "but now we’re both trapped in a game someone else created."
Anastasia looks at him, bewildered. "I never mentioned your name. I’ve never even met you before."
Alaric leans in slightly, a faint, unreadable smile playing on his lips. "Rumors can be dangerous tools, and you’ve seen how quickly everything can crumble. I understand that better than anyone." He extends a sleek black business card with his name and contact engraved in silver. "If you want to clear your name, you’ll need protection. With me."
Anastasia hesitates, staring at the card. "Why do you care what happens to me?"
Alaric tilts his head slightly, his intense gaze boring into hers. "This rumor hasn’t just ruined your career. It’s also tainted my reputation—and I won’t let anyone use the Ravenswood name for their games."
For a moment, silence hangs between them as Anastasia reflects on how her life has unraveled so quickly. The ballet world, once her sanctuary, has turned into a hostile and unforgiving place. Perhaps this man, though dangerous, is her only chance to rebuild what’s been lost.
Though mistrust lingers, Anastasia reaches for the card, a faint glimmer of hope sparking within her. Alaric’s sharp eyes soften ever so slightly, but his voice remains firm.
"If you accept my offer, there are two things you need to understand," he says, leaning back against the seat. "First, we’ll play by my rules. You follow my instructions, no questions asked."
Anastasia nods without hesitation. "And the second?"
Alaric’s lips curl into a faint but ominous smile. "Second, the world I live in is dangerous. Once you step through this door, there’s no turning back. There are people who won’t be happy to see you by my side, even if it’s just to clear your name."
Anastasia takes a deep breath, her resolve hardening. "If that’s what it takes to get my life back, then I’ll do it."
For a moment, Alaric studies her, his gaze searching for something hidden within her. "You’re stronger than you realize, White Swan," he says at last. "Perhaps that’s why they wanted to destroy you."
Before Anastasia can respond, Alaric gestures to his driver. "Take her home," he orders, his tone leaving no room for argument. As the car pulls away, Alaric watches from the shadows, his mind already calculating their next move.
Pulling out his phone, he dials a number. The line rings once before a voice answers. "Yes, sir?"
"Pick me up from the interview site," Alaric commands, his tone sharp and decisive.
"Understood, sir. I’m on my way," the voice responds.
Alaric ends the call, his cold expression unchanging. He stands silently in the dim light, waiting as the night begins to unfold—a night that will forever alter both their lives.
