I don't think focusing only on leads is imp, ik people point out their opinions but to this focusing only on the ml and fl is not necessary. Because though they are side characters, they play a huge role in understanding the connection and character of the ml /fl, which is very imp I personally believe a story focusing only on leads would hella boring and author ik people are gonna give you their opinions but you as author have the full freedom to write however you like, you want to write side characters, do it. you want to write the main leads, do it . Because after all this is YOUR story, don't change your writing for how others want it to be I too am someone here giving my opinion
