Chapter 3 – Resume

Mori is on her way to go home from market (You sell items to merchant and buy goods in the market). On her way she met Graze. They talked while Mori is holding a basket, inside the basket are the things she bought from market

“Ah, Graze good morning.” – Mori

“Ah good morning, where is Eleu?” – Graze

“Eleu? She's still resting at the inn yesterday, why?” – Mori

“It’s about the nest on the other day” – Graze

Eleu just got out of the inn the expenses are already paid by Mori. She is now thinking of going back to her village.

“Aah, what a great morning Mori-senpai is so-“ – Eleu

“Eleu!” – Mori and Graze

“Ah thank goodness you still haven’t left the town” – Graze

“Is something matter Sir Denzo?” – Eleu

Eleu saw the basket Mori is holding.

“Ehehe, Mori-senpai after visiting me yesterday you are now giving me some gifts how generous of you senpai, I’m embarrassed.” – Eleu

“Wha- this isn’t for you!” – Mori

Mori blushes from embarrassment.

“It's about the nests we haven’t cleared on the other day, it’s been 4 days already.” – Graze

“Oh I almost forgot about that, how is it?” – Eleu

“Well since 4 days have passes the rewards have risen up but it is still Intermediate Level.” – Graze

“(Hmm? It’s been four days but it is still Intermediate. I guess nests aren’t growing that much.)” – Eleu

“Then I guess it already attacked the town?” – Eleu

“There’s no recent attack from the Western part of the town. So I guess it is still not attacking, monsters aren’t that smart to detour they’ll just attack directly to the town.” – Graze

“Huh? Then what are the monsters doing?” – Eleu

“How could we know? When monsters completely grow their nest they’ll attack the town, and they’ll replenish their units and so on. That’s their pattern. “ – Mori

“How did you know that senpai? Are you a monster?” – Eleu

Eleu is mocking Mori.

“Of course I’m not, it is based on the research. Haven’t you studying in school?” – Mori

“Anyway we got to clear raid it again today.” – Graze

“Hmm? Why us I know we accept that nest last time but shouldn’t it be cancelled after 3 days?” – Eleu

“Well the thing is..” – Mori

Mori looks at Graze with an irritated smirk.

“Heh, looks like I get it now.” – Eleu

“But wouldn’t it be worth it? It’s a Low Rank Nest but we will get a reward of an Intermediate Nest.” – Graze

“Sigh, so where’s the other?” – Eleu

“Um, well I guess few members have quitted but it shouldn’t matter.” – Graze

“Hmm, you haven’t tell it from me earlier? How many members quitted?” – Mori

“5” – Graze

“Oh my..” – Mori

“B-But they quitted right after I accept so it can’t be help. Hehe” – Graze

“Tch. Those cowards.” – Mori

“Ah, that’s okay 3 elite mercenaries joined us.” – Graze

“Then I guess our meeting place is still the same?” – Eleu

“Yeah let’s meet at 11 o'clock.” – Graze

“We still have 4 hours so I guess I’ll go home first.” – Mori

“Then I’ll contact the other mercenaries, you should prepare yourself Eleu.” – Graze

“Yes sir.” – Eleu

4 hours later on the same meeting spot at the western entrance of the town, where the caravans are located. Graze introduced the other members.

“So everyone this is Eleu Triya a new support mercenary, this is actually her first raid since her first raid last time is postponed, and this is Mori Seftra a support mercenary. And our new members, this is Raven Decker-“ – Graze

“Ehem. It's “Rey-Ven”– Raven

He correct Graze's pronunciation from Rah-Ven to Rey-Ven with a boastful voice.

“Ah, I’m sorry so it is Raaven(Reeyven) Decker-“ – Graze

“Yeah that’s more appropiate” – Raven

“And he is a damage dealer also a melee type but he use scythe, and we have another damage dealer Kaisei Klein he is a range type but he can only use one type of skill.” – Graze

“But this single skill of mine is enough to destroy a whole town.” – Klein

“(He’s totally bluffing)” – Everyone

“And our last member Hans Yelnor he is a tank type mercenary.” – Graze

Unlike the other new members he just stood without saying any words, he has heavy armor throughout it’s body with a big shield. Klein and Raven is wearing a light armor. Klein is barehanded and Raven is using a scythe.

“So since our numbers have diminished a little bit, we will change our formation. We have 2 supports staying in the middle, we have a tank that will be place in front, the 2 damage dealer is place after the tank and I will protect the rear is all of you okay with that?” – Graze

Everyone nodded. They will use the caravan that they use before because Graze and the caravaneer already know each other. On their way to the nest the surroundings are still plain barrens with a very few wanderers on sight. Eleu is gazing at the window

“Don’t worry Eleu even though our numbers is diminished the strength of the party is even greater than before, they’re all elite mercenaries after all.” – Graze

Eleu shift her gaze at Graze.

“You’ve been talking about Elite Mercenary, are they different among other mercenaries?” – Eleu

“Hahaha I forgot you’re still a new mercenary, so Elite Mercenary is a rank among Mercenary, just like Nest Ranks, it identifies how strong a mercenary is. The ranks are, Novice, Elite, Commander, Advance, Conqueror.”

“Then how do I become an Elite Mercenary?” – Eleu

“It’s actually pretty easy to become an Elite Mercenary, you just need to clear 30 Low Ranks or Intermediate Nests, or your Power level exceed 3000, but that only works in Elite rank the only way to achieve higher rank is to exceed the Power lever for each Rank. ” – Graze

“Power level?” – Eleu

“It’s the current ability of the player, you can identify it by touching the Orb of Deity again, but it will cost you 50 coppers.” – Graze

“(Hmm, 50 coppers huh, it’s not too cheap but it’s also not too expensive)” – Eleu

“How do you raise your Power level?” – Eleu

“Well it’s different for each class, we damage dealers improve our fighting capabilities to increase our power for example I am a melee type, I need to improve my swordmanship in dagger.” – Graze

“Ehh, so that’s how it is, then to improve my Power level is to improve my buffs and to learn more skill. Ranks are boring.” – Eleu

“Well if you have a high rank you will get some privileges.” – Graze

“Privileges?” – Eleu

“Um, to be precise you will get respect from other mercenaries and the Management.” – Graze

“Ahh, I see” – Eleu

“So what is your rank sir?” – Eleu

“Ah I’m an Elite Mercenary and your senpai too. I check my Power Level every month while Mori checks her every week.” – Graze

Eleu smirks at Mori.

“What?” – Mori

“Haha It’s nothing senpai you’re just too cute.” – Eleu

Mori blushes.

“Wha- where did that come from, I won’t take that as a compliment.” – Mori
