Eclipse Requiem S1

Prologue: The Fallen Oath

The sky burned crimson.

A once-glorious city now lay in ruin, its grand towers shattered, streets soaked in blood. Screams of the dying echoed through the air as flames devoured what remained. The scent of charred flesh and smoldering stone filled the air, turning the battlefield into a graveyard of lost hope. In the heart of this devastation, a lone figure knelt—his body broken, his silver armor cracked and drenched in crimson ichor.

His name was Kael Veyron. Once hailed as the Guardian of Light, the savior of kingdoms. Now, a traitor. A sacrifice to the gods who had forsaken him.

Above him, celestial figures hovered in radiant splendor, their divine forms untouched by the carnage below. They stood as silent judges, their gleaming eyes devoid of mercy. The so-called gods, the ones he had served without question, now gazed down at him with apathy, as if he were nothing more than an insect beneath their feet.

"Kael Veyron, for your arrogance and defiance of divine order, you are sentenced to eternal oblivion," a voice boomed, cold and absolute. The High Arbiter, wielder of the Celestial Judgement, raised his gilded blade, the weapon pulsing with divine fury.

Kael clenched his fists, his breath ragged. Betrayal tasted bitter on his tongue. "I fought for you... bled for you," he spat. "And this is how you reward your champions?"

Another god, cloaked in silver, spoke with a hollow voice. "You were never meant to rise beyond your station. You are mortal. You are disposable."

Kael’s vision blurred with fury. Disposable. That was all he had ever been to them. A pawn, an obedient soldier, wielded and discarded at their whim. The weight of all his battles, of all the blood he had spilled in their name, pressed down on him.

The Arbiter’s blade descended.

A surge of agony ripped through Kael’s chest. Light erupted from his body as divine chains coiled around him, pulling him into the abyss. His screams mingled with the wails of the dying as he was torn from the mortal plane, swallowed whole by the nothingness below. His world faded into darkness, his existence erased as if he had never mattered at all.

But fate was cruel, and death was not his end.

Deep within the abyss, where forgotten souls withered and gods dared not tread, something ancient stirred. A presence, neither divine nor mortal, whispered into the void. The air was thick with a formless hunger, a darkness deeper than anything Kael had ever known.

You have been forsaken.

You have been wronged.

Will you take my hand, warrior? Will you reclaim what was stolen?

Kael’s body convulsed, his shattered soul trembling under the weight of the voice. The abyss pulsed, and within its depths, an unseen force extended toward him. It was no god’s mercy, nor a savior’s light. It was raw, unrelenting power—primordial and vengeful. It called to him, promising not salvation, but destruction.

A choice lay before him—accept the abyss, or vanish into nothingness.

With a final, ragged breath, Kael reached out. His fingers brushed against the darkness, and the void roared in response.

His pain vanished. His broken body mended. The divine chains that had bound him shattered into dust.

A voice, deeper than the abyss itself, echoed in his mind. Then rise, Kael Veyron. Rise as the herald of my wrath.

And the world trembled as something unholy was reborn.
