The encounter

The morning sun streamed gentely through the classroom windows, casting a warm golden glow on everything in sight. The usual sounds of shuffling paper, laughter bouncing off the walls as students prepared for the start of another ordinary school day . For everyone else , it was just another Friday . But for Sirelia, it would mark the beginning of something that would change everything.

Sirelia walked into the room quietly, as always . She was introverted and sharp tounge ,preferring to sit in the back and stay out of spotlight. She didn't talk to boys much only when she had to even then her words were always sharp as if she wanted to end the conversation before it began. She gave cold shoulders to boys without trying . Her soft silence was mistaken as pride by some and mocked by others .But she was different with her friends.?

Vivienne her bestfriend wise ,studious and the brightest mind in the class with her trio of close companions : Rhea the savage and fearless one; Letita, the one who brought laughter with her every word;Aurora the loud and energetic one. in her group Sirelia would laugh freely , spoke in soft whispers and felt understood. But the world outside ? She had build a invisible line no one dared to cross.

Their bond was a woven thread of lunchbox secrets , stolen giggles , and deep soulspun loyalty.Together they were a little world of their own.

" Guys , did you finish homework?" Letita said dramatically .

" No and i will confidently fail ", Rhea said fliping her hair

Vivienne, Sirelia and Aurora laughed softly .

Across the room Caelir the new transfer student watched . He had only joined a two weeks ago. He was new ,still learning the rhythm of the class, but he already stood out.His messy hair, the way he carried himself as if nothing can shake him - he was different from anyone Sirelia had ever met .And frankly he was annoying . He was the centre of attention but people didn't notice how often his eyes drifted towards the quiet girl in the corner who never spoke to anyone expect her friends and unless she had to.

"She is interesting", Caelir said to his deskmate Oriven

"You mean the quiet one who acts like world doesn't exist ?",Oriven said

"Exactly ", Caelir smiled with eyes still on Sirelia."She's like snow... cold on surface but there is something beautiful beneath.

Oriven raised his eyebrow with a smirk " What , are you gonna melt her with your charm?"

" Maybe", Caelir chuckled"Who knows?"

Sirelia unknown of the conversation had her head bowed , her pen dancing on the paper . She didn't know her silence had caught someones interest.

And then the fate played a little trick.

As the morning breeze blew through the open window , a pen rolled of Caelir desk which rolled all the way to Sirelia feet.

She picked it up carefully , and looked around .

Their eyes met .

He smiled mischievously and said, " Looks like fate gave you my pen."

Sirelia said "Well then fate must be clumsy ."She gives the pen holding it out to him.

Instead of taking it, he smiled and said " You can have it and I think it wanted to meet you .

She stared at him and said ," That doesn't make sense ."

" Doesn't have to" he shrugged . " I just go with what the moment feels like."

Sirelia sighed and placed the pen at the corner of the desk,"Whatever."

As she turned to the front , she heard him murmur , just loud enough to hear," You're kind of like a snow , you know. Quiet but you still caught the light. "

She stiffened ."What did you say?"

He grinned, "Snowflake."

Her eyes narrowed "Don't call me that."

"I will ."he said with a casual wink "because I'm the only one who can. "

She wanted to throw his pen at him .

The bell rang.

The rest of the class blurred by Mr. Smith's voice faded in and out as her thoughts kept circling back to Caelir and that nickname.It clung to her like a soft wind che couldn't shake off.

During break , she walked with her friends . Letita had a joke ready. Rhea rolled her eyes.Aurora laughed loudly at something ridiculous. Vivienne gave her a knowing look.

"You okay?," Vivienne asked gently.

Sirelia nooded."Just annoyed"

"Because of him?" Rhea smirked."The new guy?He has been looking at you like a riddle."

"I am not intrested ",she muttered.

"No one said you're interested."Aurora teased.

But even as she shook her head and tired to focus on their laughter, one thought echoed quietly in her head:

Why did his words stay with me ?

That evening , Sirelia sat quietly by the window in her room. Her poetry notebook open , but her mind far away.

She couldn't stop thinking about Caelir - his easy smile , the way he called he called snowflake and how his words lingered even after he was gone.She didn't like how his presence made her heart race , but she couldn't ignore it either . Her pen moved across the paper , gorming the words that had been swirling in her mind.

Snowfall's whispher

You called me snowflake a name so light But even ice can melt in the warmth of light.

I've built my walls cold and high But your words keep drifting like snow from the sky.

A small sigh escaped her lips as she closed her poetry notebook .Maybe Caelir was right . Maybe there was something beneath the cold surface she always showed . But for now, she wasn't ready to let him - or anyone see that side of her.

Far across the city ,Caelir stared out of his own window , thinking about the girl with still eyes and the sharp voice .

He opened his notebook and wrote his first poem since transfering.

The Quiet Strom

She speaks in silence, Moves like a secret, But her eyes, They scream stories.

She didn't smile, She said a sharp word, But her voice , Left a mark deeper than kindness.

He closed the notebook smiling ."Snowflake", he whispered to himself,"Lets see if I can make you melt."

And just like that , a story had beguan . Quiet, unexpected and beautifully cold at first touch.
