So.... I don't know.

What are the evens of getting married at 20? Must be equal to zero when multiplied by two.

I was looking out the wide-ass window, wide enough for me to jump with my hands and legs spread out. Oh sorry, I'm supposed to make myself sad. I don't know how to feel right now.

I'm going to get married in 4 hours. The man that I'm going to get married with is 11 years older than me. He's old as fuck!? We both have never met each other. This will be our first meet. And what? We're getting married.... Oh my god....

My name is Evette. Just Evette, I don't have a surname. The story goes short back to when my mother and father met each other. It was mid December. My father, Hyum, who happened to be searching for a place for fishing, saw a dying lump of meat in the snow about to be buried. He saved her and got married together afer finding out that they were both abandon when they were children. Why am i telling this when I can just say that our family don't have a surname? So, my parents are kinda grateful that they have a daughter, someone who will take after her husband's surname. I turned 20 last week and am now getting married to a 31 Year-old kid.

This marriage was a promise to Mr. Volkov from my dad. He is someone who has helped my father a lot in making his life, and he's rich as fuck. According to my father, his wife died after 12 years into their relationship. His son, Caius Volkov (wow such a hard-ass name for a weak kid) was born with abnormally low weight and always fell ill. My father told me that he once had high fever in the summer just because he ate a piece of bread with strawberry jam. Seeing him so weak along with other's remarks, Mr. Volkov was so sure that his son would not be able to grow up properly and may not be able to live past 35. Poor boy. Then my father, as the big man he is, made a promise of letting his son live the life of a normal man and in the process of making his sick son's life 'normal', here I am. Feels like they've been waiting for me to turn 20... Though I do feel kinda bad for Mr. Volkov's son, this marriage is a very big step for me.

And "why?", you may ask. Well, I don't know too. I'm only a thinker, not a speaker and I sometimes don't know what I'm thinking too. Maybe I felt sorry for Mr.Volkov? Or for Caius? I don't know. My father did ask me If I was uncomfortable. But I couldn't bring myself to break "a part" of his promise. I don't feel uncomfortable in any way, I do feel sad that I couldn't finish my studies, but it's fine. I can do this much for Mr. Volkov right....?

It's making my heart race just thinking about meeting him. Will he be waiting for me with a wheelchair?like...with his head tilted because he can't hold up the weight of his head? How does he look? I'm ugly too. Will he be excited that he gets to marry a woman at least? I hope he does....what will i do if even a cripple rejects me? I'm going to jump before a truck and just squash myself on the road. Ain't no way, please. And am I going to become popular because i helped my father to fulfill his promise to make his best friend's son, who has been living the life of a dying man, live a normal life? No, that sounds a little ... impossible. Lol. I can at least laugh a little before the step of ruining my life right?

Maybe he's not that weak at all... And what happens if he comes to like me a little, and we end up becoming a good couple and .... I'll be left all alone?? I have no idea of his medical conditions. Is his lifespan of 35 years still valid? Then what? I'll become widowed? Wtf? Or has it changed to 40-50 years....?

"Can you please stop making so much faces?I can't continue if you keep squinting your eyes and.... the other things you're doing", she says.

"oh, sorry again". I adjust myself straight. "Please continue."

She comforts me as she brushes my cheeks,"don't worry, you're going to be just fine". I just smile at the make-up artist.

"Please don't make me regret this."
