"Mr. Evander Christophe, it's better if we just get divorced!"

Evand was startled to hear Yasmine's request for a divorce. The man really didn't expect Yasmine to ask for a divorce.

"Yasmine, we can solve this problem amicably! There's no need to get divorced!" Evand replied.

"Then forget your intention to marry Shovia!" Yasmine retorted firmly.

"My son has been kind enough not to divorce you after you made us lose our first heir! Now you want to demand that Evand cancel his intention to marry Shovia? Who do you think you are?" Madeline snapped angrily.

Again and again, Yasmine was blamed! Yasmine was fed up with Madeline and Yoshi's attitude. Not only them, but she was also fed up with Evand and Shovia who were pretending to be good.

"Did you hear that, Yasmine? Shovia doesn't want us to get divorced! We will remain a couple! We will not get divorced!" Evander insisted.

Evand touched Yasmine's hand, but the woman immediately brushed it away. Yasmine's decision was final, whether Evand married Shovia or not, she still wanted a divorce!

Yasmine was tired of always being insulted by Madeline and Yoshi. Being Evand's wife was not easy!

"Yasmine!!!" Evand snapped, with one hand already raised, ready to land on Yasmine's cheek.

Yasmine was not at all afraid and did not avoid it. She remained silent, but Evand's hand only hovered in the air, not touching the surface of her cheek.

Meanwhile, Yoshi, Madeline, and Shovia looked surprised and shocked by Evand's action of almost slapping Yasmine.

During their marriage, Evand had never been abusive to Yasmine. Only the man's attitude had become cold and indifferent.

"Why are you silent, Mr. Evander? Come on, slap me! Hit me, Evand, so that you are satisfied!!" Yasmine challenged, even pulling Evand's hand and hitting her cheek, even though Evand didn't move.

"Enough, Yasmine!" The man snapped again, pulling his hand away. Because Yasmine didn't let go, Evand finally flung the woman's hand away roughly. "You have really changed, Yasmine!"

"All of you, get out! I want to settle my problem with my wife!" Evand said firmly, holding back his anger.

Madeline, Yoshi, and Shovia finally left reluctantly.

Yasmine rubbed her face roughly. She was really tired of dealing with Evand and his family. Both of her legs were bent and hugged, not caring about the incision marks on her stomach that felt incredibly sore and painful. What Yasmine felt was even more pain in her chest, her heart!

Evand sighed, the man sat next to Yasmine facing his wife. Wiping away the tears in the corner of Yasmine's eyes.

"Yasmine! Does being my wife make you so miserable?"

"You once promised that you would try to adapt and not care about mother and Yoshi! Yasmine... I also don't care about your social status! We can get through it all together!"

"But not with a third person!" Yasmine retorted.

Evand sighed. "Shovia is not a third person! I'm marrying Shovia just to...--"

"I still want a divorce!"
