The Falling

Through a hallway with a red carpet that covered the floor, walls of black and white marble, beautifully lighted by crystal wall lamps, leading to a grand room. Inside lays a woman who just gave birth to a girl, who now filled the room with her cries, she has beautiful brown skin and ashen hair just like her mother's, this day was suppose to be a day full of hope and joy, but it wasn't meant to be.

The wet nurse hands the Queen her new born child full of tears. It was a day full of mixed emotions, mostly of sadness, happiness, regret and frustration, it wasn't only the wet nurse who felt this way, the palace doctor, the few people in the room and the Queen herself who knew that her days were cut short before she could even spend her days raising her first child. - " I finally get to see you my dear princess ". The Queen softly cries in relief as she holds her baby.

A little boy who stood next to the palace doctor, peeks at the queen and her baby. - " Son ". The doctor says not taking his gaze away from the queen and her child, the little boy who stood beside him does the same. - Take the bag I have prepared, you know what you must do ". He adds as he approaches the Queen, the little boy nods but before his father gets out of reach from him, he grabs his father's robe as he tries not to cry, the doctor turns to look down on him and kneels down to give him a kiss on his forehead and a tight hug, giving off a feeling that it would be the last time, feeling this, Alex's tears started to fall. - " Alex... Dad loves you very much, you know that right? And I trust you the most with this task, I trust you because I know you're capable enough to do so ". He says and places his hand on Alex's head, he nods and tries to surpess his sadness, feeling helpless as to knowing that there was nothing much more he can do, other than to do the task he was trusted with, he musters up his courage and smiled at his father. - " I love you too dad, I promise I'll do what ever it takes to meet your expectations... ". He wipes his tears. - "... no matter how long it will take me. I''ll get really strong, so don't die! " Alex added as he runs out of the room grabbing a black marble colored bag, the doctor smiles proudly as he gets back on his feet and signals the remaining people in the room to prepare for the ritual. Making a circle around the Queen's bed as they held each other's hands, building energy, surrounding them to block out everything else that is outside it's area. - " It is time my Queen ". She tries to surpess her tears as she stares at her child with regret and love, tears running down her cheek dropping on her baby's cheek, she turns her gaze to the doctor. - " Jayden... Please, just call me by my name ". The Queen paused and felt terrible guilt, not just towards Jayden who had to give his son a difficult task, but as well for her child... She looks at her husband's big portrait, which hanged just to her right side view near the big door that faced the opposite side of her bed, she then turns her gaze at her baby. - " I won't be naming her ". The Queen says as she carefully tries to hand her child to Jayden, taking everyone by surprise with her announcment. - " But my Quee- Gemma, She's still your child. Please, it is of great blessing for the Child, given a name is the strongest bond to her own blood and flesh. Not is it only a name but no one may have the same name for generations to come until she leaves this domain- ". Jayden remembering their situation, his eyes were filled with sadness, he tries to not say anymore to upset the Queen with reminding her this, but he knew that she too knows this without being told, he clenched his fist with resolute. - " I will make it so that no harm comes to her when she leaves. I promise you this with my life ". He takes a deep sigh and smiles at Gemma. - " And not only that, You must remember it is a way for you to know that she still lives, even if no one ever knows her name outside this room ". Gemma feeling hesitant, turns her gaze to her baby and places her back on her chest. - " Will she ever know her name? “ Gemma asks with a broken heart, Jayden places his hand on his chest. - " I promise that she will. We can not disclose this information of course, we have sworn this as soon as we entered this room ". Full of assurance in Jayden's words, Gemma softens up with a smile. - " Then I shall name her Lea ". She gives her a first and final hug and kiss, mixed with her magic, which connect her and her mother no matter where they are. Before handing Lea to Jayden, the door bursts open. - " My Queen! They have broken through the barriers, they will be here soon! ". The soldier bows for being rude, Gemma, furious and worried from the news. - " Thank you for warning us ". She hands Lea to Jayden and nods. - " Please, let us begin ". Jayden moves to the middle of the circle both hands on Lea, he chants a spell levitating her in mid air, he raises his right hand on top of Lea and places a curse on her, a white mark of a hollow diamond shape appears behind her upper nape, this magic enveloped the babie's body, slowly changing her appearance. - " It is done, the final step is yours Gemma ". She nods and creates a big circle full of pure energy and power with both her hands, suddenly shrinking it to a size of an apple that turns into the same simbol as on Lea's neck, it then turns into 5 shattered pieces and vanishes into thin air along with Lea, through this, Gemma becomes weak, thus releasing the magic barrier she had placed around the palace, she wipes her tears away and prepared for the enemy to come. (Alex, we are counting on you) Gemma prays for Alex's safety as she mentally prepares herself for the worst.
