**Prologue**
Before Hanuman became the eternal symbol of devotion and strength in the Ramayana, he was already a formidable warrior, engaging in numerous battles that tested his power, courage, and divine purpose. As a child of the wind god Vayu, and a being infused with the cosmic energy of the gods, Hanuman’s early years were filled with tests that shaped him into the warrior we would one day know as the greatest ally of Lord Rama.
These battles, unknown to many, took place in the wilderness and the untamed parts of the world before the epic saga of the Ramayana even began. In this episode, we journey back in time to witness Hanuman’s early struggles, as he fought not for glory, but for the greater purpose of protecting the balance of the universe and strengthening his own divine powers.

In the early years of his life, Hanuman roamed the forests with the other vanaras (monkey people), learning the ways of nature and honing his strength. Though playful and mischievous, Hanuman’s divine nature made him stand out among his peers. One day, while exploring the dense forest near the mountains, Hanuman came across a group of demons—rakshasas—who had taken refuge there, spreading chaos and terror among the local creatures.
These demons, led by a powerful rakshasa named **Virupaksha**, had cast a shadow over the forest. They hunted innocent animals, destroyed sacred groves, and made life miserable for the vanaras and sages who lived nearby. The peaceful creatures of the forest cried out for help, but none had the strength to face the demons.
When Hanuman arrived, he felt the cries of nature, and without hesitation, he stepped forward to confront the demons. Though young, Hanuman’s power was undeniable, and the very air around him seemed to tremble as he called upon the divine strength of Vayu.
The battle was fierce. Virupaksha, seeing the young vanara as nothing more than a child, laughed and attempted to overpower him with illusions and dark magic. But Hanuman, blessed with the wisdom of the gods, saw through the tricks. With a single leap, he soared into the sky, carrying the weight of his divine father’s blessing, and struck down the demon leader with a mighty blow that shattered Virupaksha’s illusions and his power.
The other demons tried to flee, but Hanuman, using his incredible speed and strength, chased them across the forests. With his indomitable will, he drove them out of the sacred lands, restoring peace to the region. The forest creatures cheered in gratitude, and the sages who had witnessed the event saw the divine spark in Hanuman, recognizing that this child was destined for greatness.

The next great test for Hanuman came when a fierce demon named **Simhika**, a shape-shifter and master of illusion, began terrorizing the nearby mountain ranges. Simhika, known for his ability to transform into various monstrous forms, had taken control of the mountain passes, ambushing travelers and seeking to extend his reign of fear over the vanaras.
When Hanuman heard of Simhika’s reign of terror, he was filled with righteous anger. He could not bear to see the land he loved suffer under the grip of such a creature. Without hesitation, Hanuman sought out the mountain demon, determined to put an end to his cruelty.
Simhika, ever confident in his power, believed that no one, not even the strongest of gods, could defeat him. He challenged Hanuman to a battle, boasting that he could change his form at will and that the young vanara stood no chance.
The battle was unlike any other. Hanuman would strike with his fists, only to find that Simhika had transformed into a massive serpent, dodging every blow. The demon would slither away, then assume the form of a giant eagle, striking from above. But Hanuman, with his wisdom and speed, adapted to every form Simhika took. Realizing that his strength alone was not
