PROLOGUE

Present

Early morning I woke up and I heard the birds chirping while they’re on the trees, seeing everything so peaceful is so good to my sight. I always love seeing everything in order, being creative is one of my aspects.

In every corners of the street seeing the sunlight above.... could really reminisced the moments.

“What a beautiful day to start, huh?” I said to my mind.

*knock*knock*

Celestine! Get downstairs now for breakfast! my mom said.

Yes Mom! Just a minute! I said while getting up faster as I can.

I stared at my door for seconds and as I think to run towardsly to my bathroom.

While I’m at the bathroom brushing my teeth, wondering what am I supposed to do today. After I brushed my teeth and now I will go take a shower. After taking a bath, I’m going to do my skincare for morning.

Now, as I walk downstairs I saw my dog Maple running towards me, I guess Timothy just give her food.

Hello! Maple baby! I said with a baby voice.

How is my baby doing? Did you miss mommy? I said to Maple.

She barked and I see that she’s wagging her tail so much, I guess she misses me too.

Celestine, come here now let’s eat breakfast. Mom said while she’s at the dining area.

Okay I said with a little loud voice.

I carried Maple and start caressing her head and went to the living room and give her to the maid. After that I went now to the dining area and there I saw mommy readying our food.

Good Morning! Mom? Where’s Timothy? I asked Mom while helping her preparing.

Good Morning Etherel! He goes for a jog and also he gives Maple a treat and he texted me that he’s coming home any minute now. Mom said.

Mom! Why now calling me with my second name? I asked a little bit pissed.

Why not Celestine? Mom asked with a tease.

You know I hate it right... it reminds me of some... before I continues to my words Mom cut me off.

Something? Someone? Or?.... she stopped as I give her a deadly look.

Okay I’ll stop. Mom said seriously.

Where’s Dad? I asked mom.

He’s in the gym probably, you know your Dad. Right? Always keeping his body fit just like your brother and he just finished. I think he’s taking a shower now. Mom said to me with a teasing smile.

I chuckled. We have a life that we wanted and our family is a joyful one, depends on how does our moods will come up and also we are kinda strict when it comes to our body. Before I almost forgot...

Mommy? I said.

Hmm? Mom said.

We’re going to do our routine for tomorrow right? I said.

Yes sweetie. Mom said with a delightful tone.

Okay Mom. I said and smiled.

Hey Mom! Celestine! Good Morning! Timothy shouted at us.

Me and mom both looked back as we heard Timothy’s voice. He’s looking so fresh, I guess he just done freshin up.

Hey! Timothy! Good Morning! I greeted.

Good Morning! Come sit here now. Mom said to Timothy.

Yes Mom. Timothy said with a big smile on his.

Good Morning everyone! Dad greeted us full of smile.

Now look who’s here finally.... Mom doing an acting as she raised her hand and pointed it to dad.

Love , stop acting like that. Dad said and chuckled.

Fine, come here now let’s eat. Mom said to Dad.

When we start eating, we started to talk about business and also about my work and Timothy’s. Im a nurse and today is the start of my off so that’s why I really need to spend my time happily with my family. While Timothy is a Pilot, I think he just fixed his schedule since we have our own Airline and guess what we own a hospital too. Many people are saying that I am filthy rich but of course I know that my parents are the ones whose rich.

Now we’re done at eating breakfast, we start now to go to our own places. Dad and Mom are probably at their library by now. While Tim is at his room playing Fortnite. I don’t know why but he really loves games, sometimes I even think that “should I try playing it?” Neither make up I can’t do.”

I guess I will not try it or maybe some other time.

Right now I’m craving for a chocolate milk so I’ve decided to make one for me even though there’s a maid who can make me one. I probably want my cravings for food were made by me. I just think that I can handle it myself. After making a chocolate milk I also grabbed two wheat bread. I made myself stifle a laugh because I’ve been thinking that I just ate breakfast and then here I am craving again.

I guess it’s just normal for me. While I’m done eating, I walked to the veranda so I can make myself more indulged to be relaxed. As I love being relaxed, peaceful view and all. As I walked through, it makes my mind really calming, it makes me worryless to think of my job. I’ve decided to go back and enter my room.

I was about to enter my room when I heard the bells rang coming from the library it only means we have to go there. I let out a heavy sigh and thinking about on what are my parents going to announce.

Celestine Timothy called me.

Tim, let’s go now. I told him.

Yes, I wonder what’s up huh? He told me before sighing.

Hmm. I just nod.

I wonder what is it now huh? I said to my mind.

While we’re entering the library I hear the doors chimed because there’s a bell there that could notified everyone that someone’s on the door.

Tim is the first one who enters the room and suddenly when I entered the room I hit Tim’s back because of his sudden stop.

Celestine.... he said while he’s not facing me and a tone of like a lost puppy.

Hey.. What is it? Can you just faced me? I said to him.

A-are you s-sure? He said while stuttering to his words.

Yes. Is there a problem? I asked him.

He didn’t reply me back to my words and he faced me and then he goes straight to my right side. I looked up and saw my parents talking to a man. I could only see the man’s back. I knew and I was sure on whose back is that. As I walked through, my parents now looked at me, while Timothy is already sitting to his place.

As I manage to look around the room, I saw some papers and I guess it was from the hospital. Now as I looked at the table and looked up and I saw this man again in my life after seven consecutive years and also he is wearing a doctors coat and a stethescope! I didn’t know that he really became a doctor! Im so proud of him. I cannot say it to him now because of what happened in the past. I guess I’ll just keep it to myself then.

I didn’t know that I was staring at him for too long. He really looks more mature now, those defined jaw, thinck eyelashes, defined brows. He really becomes more handsome now.

Celestine! Mom said with a teasing tone.

Mom. I said and I saw him smirking now.

Why you called us Mom? I asked her with a very serious look.

Oh.... that.. mom said while thinking on what to say next.

Celestine come with us to my office. Dad said.

I just shrugged when dad told me that. All of us four went to Dad’s office. I don’t know why is Timothy not supposed to go within this meeting and being left alone there even though we both are called. While Im not considering him and even noticing the man towardsly. I can’t be with him again.

So.. Mom and Dad why am I here called again? I asked while not looking at them also to the man beside Dad.

**As you can see Celestine, Doctor Carson is with us and since today is the start of your offweek...**Dad said.

Dad.. Just go straight to the point will you? I said getting pissed already.

**You have to be with Doctor Carson starting this day....**Before that could continues his words I cut him off.

Dad! How could you say that to me! You know that I wanted to rest right?! There’s so many nurses at the hospital that are off too that you could’ve get just to be with him right?! Now why me? I asked Dad really mad.

Celestine! Don’t do dare use your voice to me!... You’re not being yourself anymore Dad told me sadly.

Dr. Lucas Elliot Carson is here because he is going to be the leader doctor and will have the position to take as the leader presidential of our hospital!. Dad said really pissed at me.

Right now I’m so speechless! The silence is engaged to us and as I think about it... It really really made me scared. To think that I will get closed to him again! Just to inform everyone he is LUCAS ELLIOT CARSON my ex-boyfriend! Everyone in this family knows about it... we’ve been together for three years. I really can’t imagine myself being with him again. For all those years I’m certainly not like this... Before I’m more softer than you could ever imagine.Im so innocent at so many things. So many memories with him flashing on my mind and as dad spoke up I came back to my senses.

Celestine.. I know this is hard for you but... mom saying while looking at me and after saying and sounds like a sarcasm question, **do we really have to bring up here the past?**and mom looked at Lucas.

Mom. Dad.. I said encouraging them to not continue this plan.

I let out a big sigh and then talk to them.

Fine! Fine! Fine! I will do it okay? But tommorow okay? I said to them.

Hmm... okay dear that’s a good answer. Dad said while teasing voice. But Dr. Carson is that okay for you to start tomorrow? Dad asked Lucas while looking intently at me.

Oh... that’s fine with me as long as she’s fine with it... Lucas said while looking at me and I just noticed that he is smirking? Or is it just me?.. ugh! Whatever..

Hmm. Okay. Then it’s deal then. I said looking straight to Lucas’s eyes.
