“Oh sorry i was working last night it's been real rowdy lately”

“Are you sure you can handle working so many hours and keeping up with your grades? You look terrible!”

“Yea dont worry about it. I don't have work today so i have plenty of time to sleep in”

Toru and jean turn the corner and see a bunch of girls crowding there class room

‘’Jean whats going on?’

“Beats me, I just got to school the same as you.”

A girl turns around and ponts

“oh my gosh here he comes! LOOK, HE RIGHT THERE!”

Toru gets trampled on as the girls run towards the other side of the room

‘’TORU! Are you alright? Here let me help you up’’

Jean lends out her hand so Toru can grab it. Youtube gets up and dust herself off.

‘’It's fine. The good news is those crazy girls aren't blocking our path anymore. Lets go inside before they come back.’’

Toru grabs Jeans hand and walks in the class. The first thing they notice is the class is empty

‘’Whoever that guy is, he must be really important, am I right?

“Hmm? Yea. but it's none of my business.”

“Your such a meany.’’

Jean sticks her tongue out at Toru. 

She looks around and notices the names on the desk.

Awww Toru we have assigned seats.’’

‘’It's better that way you won't be able to copy of my test this year.’’

‘’Oooo Rrrr Uuuu how could you be so mean.’’

‘’I'm just kidding.’’

The class bell rings. Moments later students are entering the room.

The teacher walks in the class five minutes after the students do.

‘’Everyone please take your assigned seats.i have an announcement to make we have a new student. I hope everyone can help him adjust to his new school.’’

Everyone begins to chat about the new kid standing beside the teacher.

He walks up to the class to introduce himself.

‘’Hello everyone i am Bai Jing. i hope that we can become friends.

‘’Excellent! Toru?”

‘’Yes sir…”

Toru stands up

‘’Bai Jin will be sitting next to you you are my best student i hope that you can help him with his assignments if needed.’’

‘’Oh uh but sir…”

‘’No buts you'll do as i said.”

Toru sits back down.

Bai Jing walks through everyone and sits next to toru.

“Are you kidding me now half the class hates me!”

‘’Now everyone gets ready to hang in there homework. In five minutes we will begin our test.’’

The whole class groans. Toru begins to take out her homework

‘’Toru right?’’

‘’Look lets just not talk alright? You've caused enough trouble just by sitting here.’’

‘’Oh. Yea sorry.’’

Toru hands in her homework and sits back in her seat.

BZZZT. BZZ

Toru checks her phone and sees Jean texted her. She opens the message.

‘’Soooo? How's the new kid? You aren't being mean to him are you’’

Toru responds to the text then sets her phone down

‘’Of course not all i said and i quote is ‘’Look lets just not talk alright? You've caused enough trouble just by sitting here.’’

“TOOORRRRUUU that was beyond rude. Uhh I don't even know why I asked you to apologise.”

‘’Why? I was just saying that he is admired by all these women and him talking to me would cause a lot of trouble.’’

‘’Well that's not how you said it ! you basically called him a nuisance.”

Toru looks at Bai Jing then takes a deep breath.

‘’Alright i will apologize.”

The bell rings

‘’it's time for lunch don't forget to turn your test in!’’

Bai Jing is about to get up but Toru grabs him. He turns and looks her way.

“Um. well i'm sorry for what i said it sounded wrong and i had no intention to hurt your feelings.

He looks at her confused then he laughs

“Huh? What's so funny? 

He stops laughing 

“I wasn't hurt. I was just surprised. You don't look like the type to apologize for your mistakes.’’

‘’What is that supposed to mean?”

‘’It means you don't look like you care about anything. Almost like you feel nothing.”

She looks him in the eyes for a second then looks away.

“Well you're not lying. I… don't feel anything at all. I can no longer force a smile like I used to as well."
