So we talked

After that evening, we kind of started talking,, but we were still not that close. I wanted to be close with him but because my awkward self I couldn't. Not sure how this crush thing works, but I ain't giving up that easily.

Months passed by, and the freshman year almost came to an end and I had made some friends by then, but I kept my crush a secret. I just wasn't able to open up my feelings no matter how much I wanted to spill it.

The year was almost over, and our class rep finally brought out "The Topic: Prom". Our class had been given the responsibility to host the prom event this year. I thought I'll help with the decoration team, but it was full so, I decided to join the welcoming team but then again it was full. After jumping from one team to another, my friend finally suggested "why don't you host the event?"

"ummm.... I'm not sure, I'hv never done it before"

"Don't worry you'll do just fine! Plus you'll have a partner" Liz said

"Oh really, then I guess yeah..so who will be my partner"

"Drey" after hearing his name, every single cell in my body numbed, my heartbeat fastened, warmth filled my cheeks, eyes blurred, ears stopped functioning "you'll do just fine, he is very reliable" she completed.

I just nod my head in response.

I ran to the washroom as soon as possible to cool myself down and splashed water in my face, gave a light slap "you got this!!" I told myself. As I came out of the washroom, I saw him standing outside the classroom holding some pages? *thud, thud, thud* my heartbeat fastened again. I almost walked past him and entered the classroom.

"Aura" he called

I turned to face him and his smile almost killed me, how can someone's smile look so damn gorgeous "Yes" I replied nervously.

"So, we'll be hosting the prom event together, and I wanted to discuss the script with you? When are you free?" he said while adjusting his spectacles. I was intrigued by every small movement he made, I was a creep.

"I'm free" that's all that came out for my gigantic mouth. *betrayed*

"Okay" he paused then he said "how about we meet after school?".

I kept silent for a moment, making sure I heard it right. Like for real!!!? We were going to meet after school. My legs felt jiggly and my face flushed with red.

I looked up to see his face and somehow managed to say "yeah sure"

"Well then, come to my place at 4? If that's alright with you" he said

"Okay" I replied

"see you after class" he said and smiled. I swear I would have passed out at that very moment if people weren't around.

Silently I went to my seat and zoned out. Plotting a million scenarios in my mind and what ifs.

I'm cooked.
