chapter 1

She was laying down in the street unable to move.She  was covered in her own blood. She had a bullet going through her left side of her chest. There was more than one witness but all was too scared to help, for they were scared for their lives. If they interfered they would be putting their lives on the line for a woman they've never met.No one bothered to call the police they left her there for dead. Instead of giving her a peaceful death they gave her a slow painful one. She laid there with tears rolling down her icey cold cheeks, praying for someone to put her out of her misery. She heard footsteps of a man nearby. She slowly turned her head over to see who it was. A strange looking man appeared before her. The man walked up to her and carefully picked her up, then he walked her towards his car. She wanted to tell him to leave her be. If he was seen saving her he would be targeted just like she was, but he was too weak to speak. She couldn't utter a word. The injured girl looked up to see who her savior was but could see nothing but a blur.She tried to ask for his name but the words would not come out. He put her in his car and started driving.  He was going so fast it was if we were speeding through time. She saw something. It was beautiful. She's never seen anything like it. “What is it? It's so beautiful...” It was more than anything i've ever seen. She reached for it, it had many colors. “Could this be the light people referred to. The light they see before they die? Maybe it's my time. How could something so close feel so far? I can't reach it the closer i get to it the farther it gets. What does that mean? Do I get to live?” Her body was overwhelmed from the wounds on her body. She could no longer feel the pain though.it actually felt a bit could, and as if a heavy weight had been lifted off her body. She felt light. A moment later she fainted.

The girl woke, she noticed that she is no longer in the car, the man was no longer there either. “Where am i?” she looks around .“ It seems to be an abandoned building. She touched her chest and the wound was stitched up. “Huh that guy must've stitched it up. He's probably gone by now. When i get back to headquarters i'll find a way to thank him. Right headquarters. I can't go back, I'm being targeted.” She looked down as she was no longer wearing the clothes she was wearing before. She was wearing men's clothing a little too big on her. She got up and walked towards the window. “I need to get out of here and find a place to lay low for a while before they find me.

¨ It's morning? How long have I been out?¨ She looked around and saw the chair with her bag. She hurried and went to go search the bag to see if anything was missing in her bag. she looked inside the bag for the one thing that was making her a target, the flash drive. A sigh of relief. She pulled out a gum case and opened it inside was the flash drive. “Thank god…” she then looks for her phone. She grabs it and checks for the date.

 Wednesday March 5th ¨I've been asleep for two weeks!¨
