The tragic end

### The Bloodstained Tarmac

Eventually, Raymond arranged for Julie and her brother to be smuggled out of the country on a private jet. It was a flawless plan, executed in the dead of night.

But as they walked across the wind-swept tarmac, the runway lights violently shattered one by one.

Out of the suffocating darkness stepped Andrew. He didn't look like a heartbroken lover; he looked like a god of death. His tailored suit was soaked in the blood of Raymond’s elite guards, whom he had slaughtered effortlessly just moments before. His eyes glowed with a predatory, crimson malice.

Raymond stopped, pulling Julie behind him. A cold, arrogant smirk spread across his face. "You're too late, brother. She made her choice. She would rather be with a monster like me than a psychopath like you."

Andrew tilted his head, his expression carved from ice. He didn’t beg. He didn't plead. He simply raised a bloodstained hand.

"She doesn't get a choice," Andrew’s voice echoed, dripping with absolute, terrifying authority. "And neither do you. Step away from what is mine, Raymond, or I will peel the flesh from your bones."

### The Clash of Monsters

Raymond’s smirk vanished, replaced by a snarl of pure hatred.

"Come and take her, then."

The two most powerful entities in the world collided.

It wasn't a fight; it was a cataclysm. The sheer force of their clashing magic shattered the concrete beneath their feet. Andrew fought with ruthless, overwhelming brutality, every strike meant to maim and destroy. Raymond countered with venomous, lethal precision. It was a vicious, bloody spectacle—two immortal tyrants tearing each other apart, their arrogance blinding them to anything but absolute victory.

Julie was thrown backward by the shockwave, hitting the cold ground hard. The impact, combined with the terrifying, overwhelming surge of familiar magic filling the air, fractured something deep inside her mind.

A dam broke. Four hundred years of locked memories came flooding back in a violent rush. The river. The war camp. The Forbidden Grounds. The lightning.

She remembered everything. She was Amelia. Andrew’s wife.

### The Ultimate Cruelty

On the tarmac, the battle was ending. Andrew, fueled by centuries of obsession, was too much for his younger brother. With a sickening crunch, Andrew shattered Raymond’s arm, driving him to his knees. Andrew stood over him, his chest heaving, his eyes entirely devoid of mercy.

"You were always second best. You are doing biggest mistake ever. Back off, Raymond," Andrew spat coldly, raising his hand to deliver the killing blow.

“Brother, it’s you. Who made a mistake. You choose her over me. A human. I am your own brother.” Raymond shouted.

But Raymond was a creature of absolute spite. If he was going to die, he would make sure Andrew lived the rest of his immortal life in hell.

With his last ounce of strength, Raymond didn't aim his final, lethal strike at Andrew. He twisted his body, smiled a bloody, wicked smile, and unleashed a massive spear of dark magic directly at Julie.

"Then you win nothing!" Raymond roared.

"No!" Andrew bellowed, his arrogant composure shattering instantly.

Hearing her true name echo in her mind, Julie didn't cower. She remembered who she was, and she remembered the man she loved. She pushed herself off the ground, running desperately toward Andrew.

She didn't make it.

The dark magic pierced her chest, a fatal, devastating blow. She collapsed, hitting the tarmac just as Andrew reached her.

### Ash and Ruin

Time stopped.

Andrew fell to his knees, pulling her bleeding, fragile body into his arms. Julie looked up at him, her vision fading, but a soft, tragic smile touched her lips. She raised a trembling hand, tracing the jawline of the ruthless warlord she had loved for centuries.

"I remember..." she whispered, her voice barely a breath. "An... Angrew..."

Her hand fell limp. The light left her eyes.

Andrew stared at her lifeless face, the silence stretching into eternity. Then, a dark, horrific sound tore from his throat—a laugh. It was a broken, psychotic sound of a mind completely snapping.

He gently laid her down. When he stood up and turned back to his brother, there was no soul left behind Andrew's eyes. Only a bottomless, terrifying void.

Raymond, bleeding on the ground, finally realized the catastrophic mistake he had made. For the first time in his life, the younger brother felt true fear. But, the arrogance overcome fear and pain.

Andrew didn't use magic. He walked forward, grabbed Raymond by the throat, and brutally, he used is all gods of dragon power over them. There was no grand speech, no final words of brotherhood. Just the raw, visceral violence of a monster executing his prey.

When it was over, the tarmac was a graveyard. Andrew end up in ashes. But, strangely Raymond managed. With his Years of hard work. He managed to protect himself. But, instant regret. By seeing his brother ashes.

He didn't kill himself. That would be too easy. Instead, he walked into the darkness. Over the next few days, the Master of the Dragon Court unleashed his unhinged, apocalyptic grief upon Glowhaven City, burning the entire empire to the ground until there was nothing left to rule.

*It is the ultimate tragedy of their world. Arrogance and cruelty can conquer kingdoms, but they can never conquer fate. In the end, the monsters were left with exactly what they deserved: nothing but loneliness and pain.*
