The White Reaper

The White Reaper

Death?

It hurt. Raven realized as she sat down with a sigh. What hurt though? She wasn’t sure.

It might be the numerous cut’s and bullet holes painted across her body, or it may have been the ambush it’s self that hurt.

Eater way she was hurt and she was dieing, no reason to sugar coat it, Raven had lived a harsh life as an orphan in a very poor orphanage in her first few years. Then as the kids started to disappear one after another she had ran, ran through the streets and into the shadows of the city’s red lights district. Raven never could decide if that was one of the best decisions she had made or one of the worst, but she knew that the kid’s had been sold as slaves to wealthy family’s who could afford it. They fact was that she ran, and for the next few years she had bagged, stolen, pickpocketed. Anything to survive untill at the age of 11 a man she had pickpocketed had cought her as she ran back to her corner of the street and offered her a home, a home for people with her talents, people who had seen the worst of the world and fought to live. Tooth and nail.

She had known it was the life of a killer he was talking about but hadn’t hesitated to agree, after all what did she care of a world that had abondonded her? Now though Raven would say that had been the one biggest mistake of her life, she should have told his to screw off and ran, even if she died in that dump, but she didn’t and here she was a trained killer the best of the best, the White Reaper of the battlefield. Ambushed and killed in an unknown valley by a group from the very organization she had regretted joining so much. Hades. A underground organization that trained young children to be killers and assassins, for them there was no job to big for the right price. Raven had been assigned to assist the country of Gia’s military in battle but here she was dieing in a pool of her own blood. Alone in a valley somewhere.

Alone, she thought, had she every truly shaken the loming shadow of being alone? No, she supposed she hadn’t. Maybe if he had another chance. . . No that would be no good, Hades was after her and she would just die again somewhere. “Yes, there was no place for Raven- no. There was no place for the reaper in this world.” She whispered as she closed her eyes. She was truly alone.

But she wasn’t because as Raven pondered about her life one last time the very earth and sky heard her, the world heard her, it heard her and acted.

——————————————————————

Raven was incased in darkness’s, but she felt light and fluffy, it was nice to not have to do anything for once, If this was heaven or hell she didn’t know. Raven had never been religious, after all their was never a god for her. . . But this was nice, she felt like she was truly free and Raven would enjoy it while she could, even if she had to fight for her tiny piece of freedom.

Of course, as though  a higher power was listening to her thoughts because  Just as she thought this Raven saw a fist sized light, well it was fist sized but was rapidly growing, it was already the size of a watermelon when suddenly she was getting sucked in like a magnet. Raven struggled and fought as much as  she could but how do you fight a ball of light? Raven wasn’t sure so when her punch got her right arm sucked in she she did the next best thing, curse and curse she did in every language she knew at the light, desperate for her hard fought peace. Her efforts where in vain because after a few more moments of struggle she was fully sucked in to where ever the light was taking her.
