The coffee

When I woke up in the morning it was 7am. I washed my face and did some house work with mom and my aunt. I had my breakfast and packed some cookies with me.

I went to the grandpa house and he was soo happy to see me and so was I. I handed him the cookies and he said 'Thank u'.

I asked him what was he doing, he said he was bringing the picked coffee beans ti dry in the sunlight. I asked 'Do u need my help, I can help u with it'. He said; 'ok if u wish'.

We brought all the coffee beans from his store room, He asked me; 'Ren do u want some coffee'.And of course I said yes cause that was the thing I was waiting for. I might sound a little selfish as I was visiting his for his coffee but that was the thing I never thought of.

Grandpa asked; 'Ren do u want hot coffee or cold coffee'. I said I wanted both of them and asked him; 'Grandpa can I watch you making coffee ?' He didn't hesitate to say yes.

He slowly started making coffee, I standed beside him and watched him. The movement of his hand was graceful and his process of making the coffee was different from others.

Anyone could tell that he was an expert in making coffee by his movement. After watching the whole process a thing came in my mind; "Does he come from a rich family ?, He is graceful". and "No wonder the coffee was different . He must be a barista (a person who makes coffee)?"

After a while he finished making the coffee and we sat in the living room and were drinking it. I wanted to ask him about his family and his job.

Seeing my worrying face he must have understood and he started telling me about his family and his past.

Grandpa: Do u want to listen my story?

Ren: *excited*... nods....

Grandpa: *smilies* ..... I used to be a barista

before I came here.I used to be the

chairman of the biggest coffee

factory in xxx country, have you

heard about it.

Ren: oh~*shocked* Yess

Ren: Were you the famous coffee king ?

Grandpa: Yes

I was shocked to know who he was and asked him why was he here than?

He had left more years until his retirement. He replied ; 'I just wanted to rest and I have already appointed new chaiman who is my son'.

He told me a lot about his son and his son's family. He said he had only one son and now his son too only has one son.

I asked him if he could teach me more about coffee making and I was glad to know that he agreed and even gave me a note to write down the notes.

He even agreed to take me as his disciple but he said; 'My grandson will also be joining you, Do u mind?'. I said I won't, He told me that his grandson will be the future successor after his father and he too wants to learn from him.
