Chapter One: Who Are You?

Location: Orbiting Planet Vireos IX

The station shimmered like a crystal bloom above the gas giant. A vast college-city in low orbit, Arclight Academy glowed with polished alloy, kinetic shields, and radiant solar veins humming with light from the twin suns. Students from over a hundred planetary systems were docking—betas, alphas, omegas—humans, hybrids, and even beings born under nebula winds.

Inside Docking Bay 47C, Gu LingXing stepped off the transport ship from Nytheon Delta. He paused to inhale the cool recycled air. His luggage hovered silently beside him, but his thoughts were anything but still.

So this is where it begins.

Gu Ling Xing, an Omega born from one of the five prostitute families, didn't have the luck to grow up with his family. When he was only three years old, he was given to his adopted parents, aka his biological aunts' family, and is now back to the same family who had left him for so many years. Not that his adopted parents don't want him anymore but that his biological parents have been pressuring them. So now they are here, Planet Vireos IX. Another major reason for coming here is the Arclight Academy of Stellar Ascension.

When Gu Ling Xing was occupied with his thoughts, his adopted mother and his aunt put her hands on his shoulder and asked in a gentle tone.

- "What are you thinking so seriously?"

- "Nothing serious. I am just thinking the airport is filled with HoloScope."

Asked Gu LingXing, his eyes filled with astonishment.

Gu Yue laughed a little and said as she pinched his cheek a little.

Lu Ran took Gu LingXing to his room. The room was very big and spacious. There was even an attached room for studying. Every device was the latest model, and some of them were those that hadn't been released by the companies to the public. Gu LingXing just let out one word, 'Wow',

and made himself comfortable. Lu Ran let out a sigh of relief seeing him like that and told him to rest before leaving.

That night, Gu LingXing felt so comfortable that he played games all night and slept right before

the Serion rise. By the time he woke up, it was already past 12 o'clock. Gu LingXing came downstairs yearning and naturally went to the kitchen and drank a glass of milk. After that, he took bread and a banana and ate in the kitchen, standing. In this whole process, he didn't even notice the people watching him from the living room and secretly laughing. Gu LingXing was so embarrassed that he wished to dig a hole to hide himself. Gu Yuhan noticed this and to save him from embarrassment, he called out for LingXing and asked him about his admission,

- "LingXing, you are going to Arclight Academy, right? When are you going to do the admission?"

- "Tomorrow, I guess."

- "Good. The sooner the better. I will go with you and Yuchen to complete the process."

Gu Yuhan took both Gu Yuchen and Gu LingXing for admission. Arclight Academy requires students to have an exam before they become qualified for admission. The South Garden

A massive biodome grown from hybrid ecosystems, housing everything from medicinal flora to supernatural beasts—including shadow wolves, lumen deer, and spectral koi.
