Hi, it’s me again. It’s been almost ten months since this update, and I was rereading this when I saw this and just wanted to come back and share what’s happened since then.
I’m really happy to say that I passed the elimination round and made it all the way to the semi-finals of our regional competition. By this time I graduated from high school, I had also received several awards, including Communication in Arts. I was the only one from my city to advance that far, which still feels a bit unreal to me.
I don’t mean to brag or drag this out—I just genuinely wanted to say thank you. That moment, and even this small update, meant a lot to me, especially during times when I felt the weight of people’s expectations and disappointment, something that can feel even heavier in an Asian household. Looking back, it became a reminder that I was capable of more than what others might have assumed.
I’ve also been keeping up with your stories, and I’m a fan of all of them—especially your current one, “So What If He’s a Villain?” (I hope I got the title right). Your work continues to inspire me in ways I can’t fully put into words.
Thank you again for listening to my request back then. It truly meant more than you might realize.
