Escape

I knew it. I knew that as soon as I gave any sign of somewhat interest, my parents would take it and run.

Alazia, who now sat in a luxurious carriage muttered to herself. She was dressed in fine clothes to impress the nobleman who her parents had sent her to see and though she had agreed to see him, she had no wish to marry him or anyone at that matter.

She wishes to see the new world..... In this little world we have learned to call Earth, a large dome exists. Said dome engulfs the earth's flat plains and is said to be seen if one travels really deep into the icy lands of Antarctica. If one somehow manage to make it past said dome, a new world awaits on the other side with creatures unimaginable. This possible new world calls out to her.

But sadly, Alazia, sits lazily in the carriage only choice is to stare out at the scenery, at the port. She sees boats being docked and wondered if there was any headed for the new world. That is when she spotted it a big ship with wide sails and even wider body. It seemed to her like adventures boarded that one. A rare occasion as the only need for them is to explore unknown lands which was unlike.

Perhaps adventures who wish to discover the new world?

Perhaps this is her chance....

As she observed the people board she wished that she herself was boarded on it. With a sudden urge she found herself fleeing from the carriage, ridding herself of some layers of clothes and ran to board the ship. It was quite a distance from the carriage, the port and with the crowds of people that walked the streets, she had hoped to be lost from the carriage driver in the crowds as she approached the ship. She made sure no one was looking as she boarded.

"Where are you going young lady?"

She heard someone ask as she boarded the ship. She turned to see an older man, slightly muscled body, about 6 feet something, with dark brown almost black hair and dark skin. She looked at him in his beautiful dark brown eyes as she said,

"I wish to adventure and explore the new lands with your ship."

A couple of onlookers and the man himself laughed as they heard this. A person from the crowd questioned,

 "You think a lady like you can survive the seas that some of our very men can't?"

The man nodded at the question saying,

"They are right. The seas are rough and dangerous a woman like yourself will not survive."

Alazia shook her head saying,

"I will survive and I will also help around as I stay on the ship. "

The men laughed again but the tall older man just stared at her intently.

"And in a battle, how will you survive? "

The man asked curiously. Still maintain eye contact Alazia said,

"I can fight to defend myself."

" With what weapon?" the man questioned with a laugh.

"One that you untrust of me?" I said.

" And why would I do that?" The man inquired

" Cause you will find me to be useful with it" I reponded.

The man stared at Alazia for a second before laughing.

" What's your name girl?"

" Alazia and I'm hardly a girl"

" Alazia" The man said softly with a chuckle. He flung his cigar to the floor and stomped on it before continuing," As in Sunrise or east?"

" Precisely"

" Well east-rising, you will have to wear suitable clothes if you wishet to come"

" I don't have anything else" Alazia responded.

The man stared at her before saying," Then you shall use our fallen comrade Fabel's belongings"

I stared at him surprised that he would allow me to join them so easily. The man began to walk away and after a few steps, when he stopped and turned and seeing me in the same spot, he frowned.

" Hurry up east-rising we don't have dont have until sunset..... or sunrise" The man said.

" Right sir" I answered, quickly catching up with him.
